On my Galaxy I run right now this:

Commander Engineeering

Reverse Shield Polarity III
Aux to Battery II
Aux to Battery I
Emergancy Power to EnginesI

Lt.Com Engineeering/Command

Rally Point Marker II
Overwhelm Emitters II
Emergancy Power to Weapons I

Yep. But there is the "why". I'm not a fan of A2B at all, yet it's only from looking at the stats versus real experience.

Well it allows you to reduce the cooldowns for most abilities on your ship to global and transfer your Aux power to the other sub-systems.

There was a point of time A2B used to be my go to build, and when you could queue as many technicians as you wanted to reduce cool down timers. What kinda doffs do you need now days to make it work?

It depends how many Krenim engineers you can have on your ship, right now I am running one Krenim and two Technicians and I can achieve the same results for A2B as if I would run three Technicians.

I've tried some "Krenim + single-A2B" out, and the results were, well, I'm sure someone more coordinated than me can make it work. I suppose the fact that you could stuff a Resolute with 3 Krenim Engineers is a strength in this regard.

Sorry guys I had a Brain Fart. I made a mistake in my thinking the Krenim Boffs will only effect Engineering abilities so you will still need three Technicians to get all abilities to global or close to.

3 Krenims just to spare one copy of A2B is not worth it imo. A Pirate engineer or the upcoming Kentari BOffs would probably be more valuable and the Resolute has lots of engineering space to slot two A2B.

What quality of Technicians?

Some people I've talked to say 2 purple quality Technicians, 20% cooldown bonus, is enough of a bonus that you can go ahead and equip something other than a 3rd Technician, 30% cooldown bonus. If you're using 3 blue quality Technicians, since I know the purple qualities can be expensive, that's a 24% cooldown bonus. I've run with 2 Technicians and have been fine with getting everything down to or close to global with my cruisers.

I am using three purple quality Technicians but than I am a min/maxer and for the cost of the Doff you can get them for free with Doffing.

My preference is not to use A2B and the associated DOffs. I mean, I'll give it a shot because I love learning new stuff in everything I do. Except food; man, I am NOT eating pineapple on pizza, screw that jazz ...

Anyway, upon consideration, I look at complete builds like this: https://www.reddit.com/r/stobuilds/c...ar_cruiser_t6/ where 1 copy of A2B is used and 2 Technician DOffs. Why? I've read every word there and am not seeing how THAT is better than having 3 technicians and or two A2B. It's that sort of [REDACTED] that grinds at my gamer soul and turns me away from A2B altogether. Frankly, that build makes me want to use the Bajoran WC so I can ditch my Leech ...

As a Feddie, and other than the Diplomacy BOff reward, where can one get Pirate BOffs?
