Well thankfully i held off a while as they announced a MASSIVE sale of the packs on the website today.

Temporal Agent pack is a whopping 65% off which is frankly an insane price for 11 odd ships, plus boffs, costumes, titles etc.

Similar massive discounts on the Delta pack, Romulan packs as well.

I finally bought the Delta Operations pack at that sale last year. If the Temporal pack had more cross faction stuff I'd go for it, but truth is it's too Fed-centric for my tastes.

Yeah, eyes popped on that one. After all my blustering, that may be too good thing pass up as the pack is right inside my available funds. Aaaand it has a ship I was targeting for purchase in there ...

Well not sure on the US pricing but here in the UK the price of the Temp Special pack is £35 and the price of a SINGLE T6 ship right now in the sale is still the equivalent of £15+ in Zen, so with the volume of ships you are getting it is undoubtedly worth it. And even if you only fly maybe one ship and use a load of traits and consoles that's still a massive saving.
The 6 costumes alone are almost worth the price.

I gotta say, those pack sales are pretty insane, considering I bought the Temporal pack only when it was released. It's a seriously good discount! No other packs fit for me - as I have elements here and there from remainder of the packs.

I elected to gamble about 4500 Zen on lockboxes and I was not disappointed. I would up with enough lobi to get the tal shiar battlecruiser, I got an elachi disruptor sniper rifle with critdx3, some fun traits, and lots of stuff to sell/donate.

Last time I did lock boxes I got a d9 and a d4x. I feel like I've had pretty good luck lately.

I suppose you've had good luck and RNGesus with you. The only ship I've ever won from lockbox was the Tholian Recluse back in the day. I stopped using gamble boxes since then unless I needed Lobi.

I'll go for the Infinity Boxes sometimes. Not that I've ever gotten the top prize*, but I often find they award enough useful items to have been worth my time.

*If I won a T6, with few exceptions I'd probably sell it. Most of them are just too non-canonical for me to bother with.

I did the unthinkable and broke up a pack. I decided to focus on getting ships for the trait (I'm looking at you Presidio). Although I did luck out and get an Atlas off the Exchange for CHEAP (which btw looks very cool with Nukara shields). I had just enough Zen so I splurged for the Intel Assault Cruiser because it look pretty (and the Trait is ... neat).

I'm still sticking with my beloved Excelsior though

See, I think your situation makes you the Poster Girl for when it's okay to break packs. You only ever play one character, and 95% of her time is spent on one single particular ship. You have no concerns about cross-faction alts, and only have to be on the lookout for things that will help an Excelsior's build.
