[Spoiler] - Star Wars: The Last Jedi Review (SPOILERS)

I didn't like Luke Force-projecting himself hahaha I was super disappointed at that. I was happy to see Luke walk toward them as the dust cleared, then I expected an epic battle either with KR or cutting the legs of the Walkers, crumbling up a couple of them with the Force...something...then he can die haha

Finn and Rose's wildgoose chase also disappointed me. Del Toro didn't feel like he even needed to be in the film to me only because of the wildgoose chase. If something came of that, I'd be cool with him.

After EVERYTHING Darth Vader did, Luke still felt good in him, yet, couldn't find it in his own nephew who hadn't turned to the Dark Side?? Then comes Rey, new to the Force and does feel good in him AFTER he already turned to the Dark Side??

How can Rey be so powerful in the Force? I get it if the Skywalkers are powerful, right cause Anakin was born from the Force...but Rey? They need to make her related somehow cause she's TOO powerful haha (needs to be Luke's daughter...Rey, like sun ray and Luke's name means 'light'...)

Luke Skywalker takes his lightsaber from Rey, examines it, and then discards it and walks away? After all the build up about the lightsaber "calling" to Rey?

In all the other SW films, being a "flyboy" was more positive, why the emphasis on Poe Dameron potentially ruining everything?

Throughout SW, certain people are sensitive to the Force, some more than others, that's all cool. Whole cultures developed around the Force that weren't Jedi (see Clone Wars episodes haha). I'm not a fan of someone being crazy powerful with the Force and not be a descendant of someone born through the Force.

Why did they keep calling hyperspace, lightspeed? What's that about?

Yoda was saying that Luke knew all the texts and Rey didn't really need them since "she already knows them" or something like that.

What lesson was Yoda teaching Luke if Rey ended up saving them anyway??

What happened to the Jedi Order saying that the way of the Jedi need start at an early age and take a lifetime to master whereas Luke gives three lessons against being a Jedi and now Rey's ready to go?

They killed off Admiral Ackbar???

It seems from http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Lightspeed just the speed a ship goes in hyperspace. I guess its different then how warp functions.

Personally I found the movie enjoyable. Didnt really have expectations going into it.

In my opinion, I found this movie to be one of the best Star Wars movies of all time, It was far superior to the Force Awakens. I think it is so good because before it came out everyone was thinking it would be another ESB, but it turned out totally different! How Kylo was the one to take Snokes life was a massive plot twist as he was still a new character, My favourite part being when the Resistance cruiser jumps to hyperspace towards the enemy fleet, when the SSD (3x the size of an ESB SSD) and the surrounding FOSD were split in half... it just filled me with aw. The easter egg with Lukes X-Wing at the bottom of the lake (near the dark side cave entrance) was a nice touch, but what was better was the original puppet of Yoda and how he acted as the crazy Dagohbah self rather than his prequel self.

To support Bar'ol's statement, In Star Trek, it would take 75 years to go from the Alpha to Beta Quadrants (VOY) but only 63 days for an Imperial vessel!

Finally, I think that the movie was just a masterpiece, though there were a few similarities with ESB they only helped to make the movie better. The only negative would be those darn penguin creatures, they were simply added for a new toy to buy and that one funny scene with Chewie.

Lightspeed has a certain speed whereas hyperspace is like mode of propulsion. We can go warp 6 but that's not "lightspeed."

Actually the reason why they made the Porgs is, the island in Ireland they shot the scenes is a Puffin conservatory and as they could not shoo them away they made a digital skin for them to make it fit to the universe.

I love how they went with puppetry and actual animatronics instead of CGI. it gives a really realistic feeling on the scenes. I loved how they used the Frank Oz's puppetry as Force Ghost Yoda again after all those years

Saw it tonight.

Bit unsure about this one. Better than any of the Episode 1 to 3 efforts, but weaker than Force Awakens. Felt the film was disjointed, lacking focus and a bit all over the place.

I agree with that haha I thought it was stronger than FA only cause I didn't like FA acting so much like Episode IV. I got that same disjointed feeling and lack of focus from the wildgoose chase for no reason.

I feel differently. I think it was an amazing film that trumps TFA (obviously). To kind of answer why Finn, Rose and Poe all had their own scenes and 'goose chases' is because the message of this movie is failure is the best teacher. Poe tries to take over the ship so he can 'save' the Resistance and fails, he then learns the lesson and becomes less of a hot head and more like a leader. Finn and Rose try to stop the First Orders Hyperdrive tracker... and fail. Luke tries to be the grand Jedi master and guess what he fails. That's what Yoda was going on about when talking to Luke.

P.S this isn't supposed to criticise anyone. everyone's opinion is as equal to mine.
