Hi all,
what is the best LCARS skin/theme for Windows Vista?

I have the System47 screensaver which works brilliantly with my two monitors. I have also tried LCARS x32 and LCARS Terminal (You have to pay for this one )

I was just wondering if anyone knew if there are any other LCARS skins or theme's out there.

I don't know if DesktopX works on Vista, but there are LCARS themes for it, and I'm using one as well btw. It basically just converts your computer desktop to an LCARS terminal, you get all kinds of extra options & buttons but it doesn't convert Explorer.

I haven't come across a LCARS system for WinVista to date, I used the DesktopX on WinXP it worked fine, I too would be interested to here if there is a LCARS SYSTEM for Vista

I have experience with the LCARs system. Basically what it does is replace the windows explorer with Visual Basic forms, each part of the LCARs, screen, menu, deactivation, red alert are all different programs or modules running under the main program which functions as the new explorer. It does not make any alterations to the OS code, it's simply another explorer using VB and MS Speech functions. That being said it is very nice and I love using the voice commands to make it do things. Heh but dont ask it to make you an egg sandwhich or any other thing because it doesn't replicate
LCARs32 is a lot more detailed and cooler looking than it was in 2009.

It does, I believe it was designed for 7, make sure you have the .NET packages installed as well as the MS Speech engine. And I've only used it on 7 64bit
