General Overview :
Easy going, humorous and amicable until the need arises not to be. Then there will be no doubt about his authority and tenacity, nor his ruthlessness. His voice, loud and deep, is sometimes mistakenly perceived as angry or imposing.

His strength lies in his honesty, experience, instinct, eagerness to learn anything and everything, knowledge of human nature and his pragmatism. His weaknesses are his trusting nature, his liberal interpretations of regulations and protocol and the discord between his physical appearance and condition.

Ambitions :
He mostly wants his son to be able to be proud of him. Eventually he'd like to command a ship of his own when his son is old enough to go to college or the academy.

His son is his life but he also enjoys science-fiction, late 20th-early 21st century hardcore house music, learning new skills and gaining new knowledge.

History

Personal History :
Grew up on Earth in the city Breda. His childhood was a happy one, during which he developed an instinctive affinity with technology and developed remarkable skills at computer development, programming and integration. His early education was marked by the lack of marketability and his the lack of effort required to achieve passing grades.

After his high school graduation he decided he was not ready to go through college or Starfleet Academy and wanted to gain more life experience before committing himself to any career education like Starfleet Academy or other higher education institution. He left Earth without destination or goal, taking any and all jobs he needed to for his survival and passage to his next destination.

When he reached the age of 23 he returned to Earth and he decided he had enjoyed more than his measure of pleasure and was ready for "adult life". He enlisted in Starfleet (as opposed to applying for the Academy to become an officer) becoming a technician at Starbase Aequo Animo, where he started his career in Starfleet.

Soon his hard work and broad engineering skills, while excelling in anything related to computers, were noticed by his superior officers and Stirch began climbing up through the enlisted ranks. As he reached the rank of Chief Petty Officer he was posted on the USS LittleOne, an Akira class vessel, where he initially worked as a computer specialist.

In that same year,2373, Stirch got married to his wife Nicky and became father to a son. Unfortunately it was also the year in which the Dominion war broke out, taking Stirch away from his family, fighting for their survival and freedom. During the battle at Archanis, a battle in the klingon-federation war shortly before the breakout of the Dominion war, Stirch went above and beyond the call of duty. Facing almost certain death he ignored an evacuation order to seal an imminent warpcore containment breach to supply power to the ships weapons systems just in time to destroy an attacking Klingon K'tinka Bird of Prey. In recognition of his actions and his service record he was offered a battlefield commission and promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Junior Grade.

Though initially reluctant to join the ranks of commissioned officers, doubting he'd fit in with 'Academy boys and girls', he accepted and proved to be an excellent engineering officer. As a matter of pride he spent much of his spare time to take the courses and exams to acquire the appropriate certifications for an average Jg Lieutenant in Engineering.


This dedication and the outstanding performance of his duty swiftly lead to his promotion to full Lieutenant. When the war ended in 2375 the chief and executive chief engineer were transferred off the Uss LittleOne, which lead to the the promotion of Stirch to Lt. Commander and getting appointed Assistant Chief engineer.

When the LittleOne was decommissioned in 2376 Stirch felt free to take a leave of absence and spend it on quality time, with his wife and almost three year old son, tragedy struck. The day he arrived at home, he learned that his wife died a terrible death only a day before, when a computer malfunction caused the shuttle she was traveling in to warp straight into a star. Adding another blow to his grief Stirch learned, during the investigation into the accident, that his wife had been cheating on Stirch with another man, whom she was planning to leave Stirch for.

Determined to stay strong for his son Stirch buried his grief and inner devastation. Diverting his grief and anger into determination driving him into action, and knowing he would have the support of his former commanding officers, Stirch decided to switch from engineering to the command track.

Not long after that decision he passed the exams for command officers and became full Commander. He was posted on Starbase Imperii Experientia, located near the border with the Ferengi alliance, where he currently serves as the commander of the logistics department and the starbase's second officer.
