I do agree with him though, CrtDx6 itself sounds OP. I guess they'll limit it to x4, lets see.

What was surprising was that Advanced Fleet weapons could be re-engineered. This could be a very economical way to get wanted Mods on "traditional" weapons.

Should this make it through the implementation phase, my speculation is drop in rates of current weapons, with the exception of the mono 360 degree beam arrays and weapons which are not found on the fleet shop.

Just a little heads up for tomorrow:

1.) The best epic mod to get is CrtD/Dmg

2.) The difference between Dmgx4 or Dmgx3 Pen or Dmgx3 CrtD or CrtDx3 Pen or CrtDx4 has become less than one percent

3.) Romulans that can muster CrtH of 60% in combat should go with CrtD mods since they can benefit from it

4.) FED and KDF Tac still work better with Dmg mods

5.) FED and KDF Eng and Sci still work better with CrtD mods

I gathered #1 from Timber Wolf's video on Tribble.

As a Science Captain, Kathryn is very happy about #2 and 5! Especially 2 because it just feels good to know that. This should mean that weapon costs on the Exchange should drop excepting cases where the weapon is rare.

Now there is greater incentive to upgrade weapons, I think.

That's what I thought. A few weeks ago on reddit, ruinthefun was being an ass about this. I was pretty sure he was wrong, but honestly, who's got the energy to waste arguing with that guy.

Ta for the heads up Bridger. I think my current weapons on my main Tactical all lean more towards the DMG mod so I'll go down that path. Going to replace the weapons my Science has too, though they're built more towards the exotic damage side of things.

@Generator: I'm always a fan of Spiral Waves. They were my go-to weapon forever because ... snowflake. But I am using Pulse Phasers (4 BA+Omni) along with the Terran, Prolonged and Trilithium-Lanced Omni. So, it's a +Beam attempt to keep up with the Jones'. But with re-engineering, I may commit to a uniform weapon layout at the cost of some DPS for the sake of my OCD.

CrtD will have higher potential via RNG, Dmg will be more consistent
