I have the feeling that the mirror discovery with there aggressive ways had allot to do with the reason why the feds lost the war also because the Feds are more peaceful and the Kingons are not . I mean look what happened in the first ep that type of thinking against a race that is now coordinated and not fighting amongst is very formidable . also we do not know how many spies they had in the Feds could have been allot more then just the one on discovery.

If this truly turns out to be the case, then I hate them messing up with timeline canon already. Having mirror universe people bring out the four-years of war equivalent story line. I already hate the fact that one mirror person is on discovery and will now be your PHD professor in waging war.

I don't think this will be the case they just learned how to use time travel so they will fix it.

That was epic.

I'm already liking Saru as the captain, it would be a nice departure from the usual human captains we have had for every other series and film.

Not sure where Burnham is going with bringing back the Emperor though, i mean it obviously shows that she's still a bit guilty over her death in the prime universe so she's trying to make up for it by saving an alternate one. But that makes no sense when everyone on Discovery knows that the Emperor is a mass murdering, xenophobic psychopath, she's hardly gonna be left to live a nice life in the Federation!

One interesting thing i noticed was the woman who was Lorca's security officer in the prime universe, was also a complete scumbag in the mirror universe too; showing that even with all the differences some people are just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥s no matter where they come from!

As for the war part, hmm....
I'm guessing that IF mirror Disco did swap places and went around causing mayhem and acting in a thoroughly un-Starfleet way it would probably stir up a real hornet's nest with the Klingons and hence they fought harder to win the war.
I'd imagine a xenophobic lunatic like Captain Tilly would be going around nuking planets and murdering civilians, generally pushing the Klingons to fight harder with possible allies from other races too?
But if they can use time travel via the spore drive then the possibilities for fixing this are endless now.

Did I miss any talk about what happened to Prime Lorca(PL)? I mean, was he the Discovery Captain when Mirror Lorca (ML) appeared. Did ML kill off PL?

Also, when ML got Ion-Stormed into the Prime universe, did I miss why he was using the transporter?

Michael + saving the Emperor = facepalm, but I get it. Sure, why not.

Prime Lorca was commanding U.S.S. Buran during the incident. Discovery was built afterwards.

ML teleported to planet to save his ass. got ionstormed to the prime. Prime Lorca swapped places to I.S.S. Buran which got promptly destroyed by I.S.S Charon. most likely dead. maybe survived. who knows.

Oh also ML Probably destroyed U.S.S. Buran on purpose to hide his track so he wouldn't be detected that he is not the real Lorca.

Ahhh ... the body swap. Cool. Suspension of disbelief is STRONG with this one as the coincidence is astronomical but ... Star Trek.

Still, it was a fun episode to watch

It would be great to finally have an district Alien captain (not like a vulcan but someone really alian). I was always a big fan of a Captian Worf series at some point.

Anyways. My guess is that they will go back in time and fix this entire war thing and Burnham will either become the First Captain of Discovery, or she will pass it up for Saru and Burnham will be the first officer.

Burnham and Stamets and possibly Saru will be the only ones who remember this timeline

Still loving it, I just hate the fact that I’ve just looked and seen that season 2 of Discovery is likely to be “early 2019” that’s way too long away!!!! :-(

Absolutely have to agree with Saru as the captain - he is a phenomenal character, and as stated previously, it would be fantastic to see an alien in the big chair for an entire series.

I re-watched this episode again, and I have to say, I love the design of the ISS Buran. I think its my favourite ship design in DISCO.

They even acknowledged the "He isn't Star Trek enough" criticism.

Absolutely, it was a really great looking ship. Appears to be some sort of proto-Prometheus type ship, or possibly a Constellation class or similar?
