The Starfleet Command Council is set to return. Starfleet Command Council (SCC) was originally conceived of by 5th Fleet (now known as 5D Gaming) and consisted of approximately a dozen fleets and clans. The SCC was formed to help encourage cooperation and fair play for Star Trek Online.
Since Star Trek Online's launch activity in SCC dropped off as a result of two main factors. The first being that Star Trek Online did not turn out like many people had expected meaning the bulk of any planning made in preperation for the game's launch was unusuable. The second factor was in-game activity, some fleets and clans became extremely active in-game making it more challenging to have the time for out of game activitity whilst other fleets and clans died off without enough active members to sustain them as a result of STO not living up to expectations.
Now SCC is being re-imagined by The United Federation of Planets {UFP}, 5D Gaming and 9th Fleet and has a new home.
Admiral Chris5626 has this to say on the SCC:
The United Federation of Planets {UFP} is extremely pleased to have the opportunity to work with both 5D Gaming and 9th Fleet on this endeavour. Whilst the original SCC was abandoned we along with our 5D Gaming and 9th Fleet colleagues have not given up on the idea of working together to offer our members an even better service by promoting mutual cooperation and high standards as well as cross clan/fleet social and gaming opportunities.

I'm looking forward to having a space to talk to our allies and friends in a neutral setting about important topics of mutual interest.
