I'll post my first post as soon as I have read up on the stuff which I missed lately. It might take me some while to properly make some good posts as I haven't really roleplayed that much but I really want to get into it ^^

I'm reading the Conference Room posts (rereading actually ) so far and am curious: Hood and Teriir seem to be the only ones in the room at the same time. I mean, they both suggest being there first and doing stuff alone before others arrive.

The benefit of being a junior officer is that Christopher doesn't have to attend those meetings Which means more time for plotting.

Some behind the scenes discussions I've been having with Allan have brought up an interesting idea which I'd like all of you to hear.

What if we reduced the stops we have in Cardassian Territory from 2 down to 1?

We will go to Dorvan V but I'd like to see what everyone thinks about skipping the colony on Solosos and proceed straight into the unknown from there. I know some of the early story ideas people jumped on are for the Cardassian colonies, namely the Bajoran Extremists group which infiltrated the Ares while we were on DS9, and we would like to complete some of those before we began the true exploration mission. At the same time, I know it may feel like we're dragging the colony trip out which takes away from the fun of the Roleplay.

I would really like to hear your thoughts on this as it would be a very significant change to the storyline.

The Ares Command staff has gone through further conversation on the position of the ship's captain. I know we announced earlier that we were going to keep things going the way they were planned before, with Nesta's character being the Captain and mine being the First Officer. However, we also cannot ignore the needs for driving the story. Because of this, it'll be easier on all of us if the CO is also the ship's Captain. My character, Dyrell Teriir will be the Captain and R'Turan will continue to be the Ares' First Officer.

Someone correct me, was the senior staff meant to respond in the conference room scene? It looks like that scene is over now.

People were to respond to tags, we tagged everyone, multiple times. Everyone throws their 2 cents in the conference room. Or be like Worf and sit there mad the whole time haha I'd like to see everyone's character's contribution ideas to the Dorvan V colony.

Nothing's truly over, even when we switch chapters. Everyone's given a couple weeks to respond before we move on with the story, but that doesn't mean you don't respond at all. We let the story progress and allow people to respond to posts at the same time so that no one is left behind.

I would say responding to a post you are tagged in is an expectation. Like Allan said, we need to hear from people when they are tagged and multiple tags were posted. It truly helps everyone with flushing out the story as we can't guess what everyone else is thinking and don't want to write other people's characters for them. We want everyone to be involved as much as possible and tagged posts are when our characters are interacting with each other.

The only reason I "ended" the meeting was because we hadn't heard from very many people and, as I mentioned in my OOC, we want to advance the story. It would be good to respond to the senior staff meeting, despite my character dismissing people.
