Since everyone is probably close to finishing this event I figure i'd bump this thread so anyone can share any interesting PUG runs they had while doing this event, I'll start:

I had a particularly comedic/harrowing run today, started off normal did my usual going to the platform behind the group and activating it. Things were going well and got to level three of station defense and then the message started going off,

Station at 80%
Station at 70%
Station at 60%

As You can imagine I am flummoxed, from where I was it didn't look like that many Terran ships had spawned in, but as I moved to the station I saw half the map is full of them and the other players in the que were getting swamped, then I realized no one was closing the portals on that side. I ended up having to clear out most of the terran ships AND activate the platform for the last stage of the station defense. Things got dicey but the station stayed at 60% and we completed the Que. I have to admit it was kinda hilarious seeing everyone getting swamped by the terrans, I had to do a Rambo and dive into the melee, beams blazing, it was like the Episode "Sacrifice of Angels," except instead of klingons coming to the rescue it was a fleet dreadnought, Im not gonna lie, I shouted Qaplah!!!! when I joined the fray, it was a fun run

I just picked up my Phaser Torpedo last night. Now to start stocking up on the doohickeys so I can get a jump on the next one. And also, figure out where I want to use this weapon. I think this could make a Manticore hellaciously fun.

I'll be done on Thursday as I missed a day last week, only doing it on 2 characters for the marks/dilithium. One year I ran it on 6 or 7 characters, never again.

Naw, Scar. If you can spare a boff slot for a Spread (which, to be sure, might be tricky on a Resolute), the Super-Charged Weapons trait makes for beaucoup fun with this.

Actually, now that I'm thinking about it, hell, that ship does have the boff seating to use Concentrate Firepower 3 and slam a half-dozen High-Yields into a target. I've always had a good time doin that with Crystalline torps.

I'd have to drop my precious BFAW for TS though ... or APB ... or TT ...

Plopping CF into the build is really for other people to love on BUT would fit my "support" theme. I'd have to swap out the BOff when solo.

Negative, Captain. Leave the Tac seat as is, and I'm sure we could find a way to rejigger the Engineering/Command seating to fit in CF3. Then you just gotta learn to "lead with your chin," get right up in the big targets' faces, and spew out High-Yield phaser torps every 2 seconds. First time you string together a half-dozen of them, I damn near guarantee you'll love it.

Outstanding! I look forward to hearing how it plays out.

One note, Concentrate Firepower is one of those abilities where using Rank III is a big difference; it'll hand out the "free torpedo reload + HY" every 2 seconds (vs 6/4 seconds for I and II). What I try and do is position myself (approximately, it's not like I'm a piloting/positioning guru or anything) such that my torps only end up having about a 2s travel time to target. That way, I maximize the chances I'll get the bonus shot. But hell, the way I figure it, as long as someone's getting that shot in, it's all good.

This is making me miss using CF. I'll have to switch out to one of my Command ships soon (I wish there was a Command variant of Arbiter/Kurak).

I hate to say this, the only reason I might ever get the Resolute is to get the Admiralty card.

(Gen braces in case Scarlett decides to go Person-of-Interest/Reese on me and chuck me through a window)

Besides, since I'm most likely talking about Ghorrin, it would have to be a Klingon ship. So either one of the Flagships, or the Duvqu' Heavy Destroyer (or the Ty'Gokor, which is a decent-performing ship, but is almost unforgivably ugly).
