Also, more visuals... why not include weapon visual slots? The colour of the TTFDBA always bugged me.

I would support this, or at least introduce craftable lenses that change the beam color, kinda weird using blue S-L Phasers with the red trilithium omni.

From what I understand is CBS flat out said no to something like this...they want phasers to look like phasers and so forth.

Looks quite good so far.

Though powercreep is going to go mad with this lot i worry. No longer excuses not to slot certain items though if you can change the "flavour" of the weapon type I guess, that to me sounds pretty nice.
And there's potentially 12 FSM's for every character, that's a whole load of fleet ships one could purchase! Finally gives me a use for the millions of fleddits i have saved up! Gonna kill the market for those things though lol.

In the very, very, early stages of STO you actually could do this, though it was unintentional.

The STO engine is a modified version of the one used for Champions Online, which does feature the ability to alter the colour of powers. It was accidently enabled/bugged briefly before getting removed.

The account wide reputation gear discount is going to be a huge boon for a lot of people, especially those who like to alt a lot. Couple that with the MK XIII upgrade from the temporal recruit rewards and you're getting quite the jump up the ladder.

I still have not unlocked this yet, lol. I just don't play my Temporal guy enough. But with the new auto-sponsorship from T5 reps already gained i could see myself power-grinding through this to get the upgrade buff. That's a nice way to get some good UR cheap gear for alts there so i am mighty tempted.

There's a win-win though. The TTFD doesn't have to be Phaser orange. Just kinda orange (Spiral waves, I'm looking at you).

Hmm...

Given the Spiral Waves and other Disruptor-boosting gear, it's not really going to change the meta. It would certainly boost Phasers a bit, since now you can have the Terran weapon as well as the Trilithium and Prolonged Engagement Phasers, which aren't Rep and presumably won't come in other flavors.

Disruptors might be strengthened further regardless, the Romulan rep weapon with the 0 power drain may be worth considering, hmm...
