I'll wait and see if the massive amounts of grind needed for Tier 6 are worth trawling through some of the really awful queues to get the marks. I had started to stockpile marks from the Crystalline Cataclysm event but I don't think that I have enough. Rough math says 64 x 30 = 1920 marks needed for each to go from tier 5 to 6 assuming a similar progression as previous tiers.

I'd guess the grind will take around 50+ days, seeing as T5 took roughly 30-ish if you played the hourly projects too.

According to the live stream when you hit t5 your account is automatically sponsored, no more need for those tokens.

From what SOB learned on Tribble so far with the current patch is:

1.) The XP is increased from T5 100K XP to T6 250K XP

1.1) To go from 100K to 250K will be 30 days and will cost 900+ Marks

2.) The Traits are boosted by 25%

3.) Alternate Weapons are limited to one additional energy type the dev blog and live stream say two different things

4.) Correction: The Set Weapons are getting 2% Cat2 Bonus.

It depends what you are: If you a min/maxer you want to have it on your build, if you don't there is no reason to have it if you don't want to.

It's not the gear it's skill of the player that counts most.
