The Narendra is one of those ships that i think i'm going to buy purely on looks alone. It might not fit quite right with my playstyle but it looks so good i can't pass up on it.

I have similarly conflicted feelings about the Klingon ship. The last thing the KDF needs is another battlecruiser. If I get this, which I'm extremely likely to, more than anything else it would just be a show of love for the Vor'cha class.

EDIT: starting to kick around build ideas for the Vor'ral. I'm thinking the closest "comparable" for that ship is the Paladin, what do you think? It's not an exact match on Boff seating but it's enough to start chewing on food for thought.

Confirmed that the original Ambassador model has not received an update. Nor has the Vor'cha.

Ah well, hopefully the addition of the Type 7 hull will clean the ship up nicely.

a must own!! I have a Fleet T5-U (Ambassador / Yamaguchi class) in my inventory, but I'm thinking ill stick with the Narendra skin on this new T6 version XD

When they announced the Recon Destroyers, I decided to give Cryptic the benefit of the doubt. I hope they bought them selves some breathing room with that, because <poof>, they used up the last of said grace period with this release.

God hell, I even found myself agreeing with ruinthefun that the Romulans have such an obvious tie-in to the Ambassador/Narendra III angle. That's how screwed up this is!

There's another bit of speculation (I think it's in that same thread actually) that the release of the T6 Ambassador and Vor'cha is a last gasp of the modern Trek era ships before it switches over to Discovery designs.

There's a certain logic (no pun intended) to that train of thought - leaving aside the various kit-bash ships that have appeared, I think the only canon Fed designs that are in-game which don't have a T6 are the Nova and Steamrunner, with the Norway having never been available (think the wannabe Norway is the Zephyr class?) - but I guess we'll see.

It does seem clear at this stage that the Romulans are getting the short end of the stick from here on out.

Here's the stats and it's a big deal - the 2 ships are fully fledged temporal vessels, complete with the molecular deconstruction beam!

Only 3 tactical consoles on both versions, had thought the fleet one might have got a 4th.

The trait seems very interesting too.

I'll probably get it and upgrade to the fleet version as my LTS stipend came in so I can afford the zen for both. Be nice to see what builds those intrepid folks can come up with.
