Star Trek: Excalibur Questions

We will be having an interview with the makers of Star Trek: Excalibur for The Herald and they have agreed to answer some of our questions. Instead of only having the questions from one or two people, we are opening the floor to all the members of {UFP}!

So, if you have any questions concerning this endeavor you wish to ask the developers, please post them here!

Is there any rough information about an Release date? Perhaps the date of a BETA?

Will LAN Support be included? That question might sound odd, but recently several studios have removed the capability of playing in LAN in the absurd hope to reduce piracy. There are many people who need and want a LAN mode.

Will there be a dedicated internet server for it when it is released or are you planning to use a service like Tunngle?

Lets rephrase...

When it comes to playing online, What are the server requirements to be? Will it be windows or linux based servers?

What are the estimated server requirements?

Will there be a need for a lan mode? will this add higher features?

As to U.S.S. Hyperion, This is a custom made game with trek elements all over it. I doubt they could sell it.

I'm going to give this to Wednesday, any last minute questions beyond that should be submitted to me directly, but there's no guarantee it'll make it in.

Just a quick point to iterate. The game is not confirmed multiplayer yet, although they have hinted it may go that way later in the development stage... I will definitely be asking them in regards to that however.
