The lack of being able to upgrade kind of sucks. I like these weapons and think they should be able to be upgraded.

Someone mentioned on the STO forums that your character needs to be Level 50 in order to upgrade... Guess I'll find out whenever I get there.

On a different subject, anyone know how to claim the AoD starter package multiple times--to get multiple copies of the ground weapons?

EDIT: Found the way.. Delete your AoD pet, and it'll let you reclaim the starter package.

The sniper rifle isn't too bad but it's not one that suits my style. There is however a full auto version that's awarded during the tutorial mission which is also account bound, so I'm going to hold onto that and upgrade it down the line.

I've not tried out the revamped lobi version yet which is also full auto but I'm not sure if they've altered the different type of primary fire it had.

according to the "more details" its still 1,2,3 alternating. I just picked one up and am about to shoot it now.


I think they broke the lobi DSC rifle, it's not shooting in a 1-2-3 anymore, just a single bolt per shot. I'm now tempted to run a few other DSC chars through now just to get more of the auto rifles

Got the package as well. Really worth it imho. Also the Walker looks quite nice !

Quick update: I claimed the starter ship on my main character (level 65) and have confirmed the included phaser beams are not upgradeable at all. They do seem to level with you--although I'm not sure how far, but they stay at the common (white) level only.

OK, stupid question time. I couldn't buy this pack from my DSC char, because she's still in the Tutorial. So I went to another char and bought it from him, but the game automatically gave the pack to him. What do I do, delete it off that guy and reclaim on DSC (when she's eligible for it)?

Well, the experience boost and the inventory slots are on your other character now. Everything else can be reclaimed from a special item in the Zen Store and the ship can be claimed under ships. Your DSC char needs to complete the tutorial before he can claim that. (The tutorial ends when you get your first DSC mission ("Secrets"))

I bought it. I dumped the ship ASAP. The seats just weren't doing it for me. I'm in the Bajoran Event ship right now. But the inventory/bank slots are the big get here.

I don't think that the boff seats are really that important while leveling.

I bought the pack, just because I didn't want to spend 900 lobi or close to 300 million + EC on another Walker Class.. granted the starter pack Walker isn't as good as the lobi ship, but I can make it work.. I did make a second (and soon to be a third) Age of Discovery toon, my second toon is flying the Nimitz class... my third will fly whatever the next Discovery era ship is. Overall I was pleased with the pack.
