Hey,

Which colony deflector is the one regarded as the bee's knees? Looking at the list, if I had to guess, it would be the intervention one, probably with the EPS modifier. Am I close?

Admiral Donovan has been using full MACO set on his various ships for most of the past six years, ever since I basically fell ass-backwards into the set at the end of Season 6. (back then, IIRC, you had a small chance to earn the widgets needed to make the sets from the various STFs, and I had a ridiculous run of luck and got the things needed for the whole set within what felt like ten minutes)

Anyway, I'm looking at him, and it might be time to give the Perseus a new coat of paint. If that's the deflector I was thinking of, then thanks.

I'm testing it with the Innervated 2-piece on my Galaxy-X, and I have to say, things do die extremely fast now and when the 2-piece activates my Dreadnought zips around like an escort on the map, I'm able t get behind ships fast activate anchored and mulch'em.

I've been finding with the Competitive Engines, I'm okay with their behavior on ships that are already fast, but on slower ships, the sudden, short term, and extreme nature of the speed boost makes it more of an annoyance than anything else.

For instance, on my Romulan, I'm fine with those engines when I'm flying my Malem, but on my Scimitar, they're just an immense pain in the a**.

I've been finding with the Competitive Engines, I'm okay with their behavior on ships that are already fast, but on slower ships, the sudden, short term, and extreme nature of the speed boost makes it more of an annoyance than anything else.

I dunno find the added boost useful, lets me get into position fast and Plus, since i'm an engineer, I just role play that my toon souped up the engines for fun

Yup, but really I prefer my current set up, Nukara deflector and Shield along with the romulan engine have served me well.

I dunno.. I think adaptability comes into play with the Competitive engines relative to effort.

Personally, I use the Fortified version because of using the FAHCR; with so many Engineering slots, I was able to pack several heals. Combined with Evasive, the ship is very nimbly-pimbly. But that means I am toggling speed changes accordingly. So, if positioning helps with overall DPS, then these engines matter.
