If you appreciate audiobooks then you should really enjoy The Time Machine by HG Wells. By today's standards, the novel is very wordy. But, to hear it read, is beautiful. I feel like I'm standing there listening to him telling the story like the rest of his friends.
At the age of 37, I have been reluctant to get into audiobooks, but, I am all in, hook, line, and sinker.
Does anyone have any recommendations for audiobooks to try?

The Hologram's Handbook by the Doctor, EMH U.S.S. Voyager, portrayed by Robert Picardo is a good one, not sure you can get the audiobook anymore though, but I have a copy =D

I’m currently listening to “Life, the Universe, and Everything”, the third book in the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. It’s read by Martin Freeman, the guy who plays Arthur Dent in the film. I’m enjoying it, but Douglas Adams is an acquired taste and isn’t everyone’s cup of tea...
I can also recommend Discworld (Sir Terry Pratchett), anything Tolkien, Game of Thrones, Harry Potter and I was surprised to find I enjoyed the Percy Jackson series (I really don’t like the films).
I have a very long commute to work (over 2 hours each way) and as I can’t read when I’m travelling I converted to audiobooks about 10 years ago. While I still love to read a book I also love to listen to them too, I have over 100 audiobooks now, and my collection grows every month.

I can recommend The Martian by Andy Weir, a good book and the guy that reads it is really good at conveying the gallows humour and emotion of the situations. Not sure if the Tamuli trilogy is still available by David Eddings but his characters in the are really fleshed out, the guy reading it did fumble a couple of accents but when you consider the list of characters he had to do, I couldn't fault him. Like Saelanna mentioned, Terry Pratchett is another good one, I heard Jingo read by Nigel Planer and it was a true joy.

The Time Machine inspired my next post on the Ares RP haha I couldn't resist. It's such an awesome story.
