As a member since October, I thought it past the time that I should acquaint myself with my Fleet mates, as I have completely enjoyed my service in the UFP!
My NA PC toon main is names Irbaz. He flies a Miracle Worker Tac, and doesn't fly it well, but he's *really* trying, and he learns fast (compared to others of his species)
My forum name is Phloom (the sound that the launching of many rockets make) and my in-game is "Phloom...followed by a bunch of numbers that I cannot recall," at the moment. Available upon request, if sought.
My IRL name is Jason. I'm a Disabled US Army Vet (yeah, I should've zigged, but I zagged) but I have no regrets on that...as, when it is one's time, the universe doesn't hesitate on that.
I'm 42 years old (the answer to Life, The Universe, and Everything) and I am happily married for 23 years. No kids. No pets, atm.
I've MMO-ed since UO, and EQ Beta, and literally a dozen other games, but STO seems to be my personal favorite.
Answers before they come up:
Picard over Kirk.
Spock over Data.
Q over all things in the universe --it IS his prerogative, after all.
Temba preferred with Arms Open Wide.
I like TNG Klingon design, but Discovery-level xeno-savagery.
DS9 serialization threw me at the time, but I love those stories (story arcs) now.
Tasha Yar was as better as Tar... NOT Sela.
Tom Hardy is award-worthy in everything he's ever done --except Nemesis.
Data's cat can change colors continually without ruining continuity.
Odo, despite his upstanding nature, would've been fun at parties in his 'youthful' times.
Geordi, a blind man, taught me to read, literally centuries before he became Chief Engineer on the -D.
Wesley should, and I quote, "SHUT UP!"
Humor aside, please feel free to treat me as an old (though painfully new) friend. I'm in a constant mode of learning, and there is a mountain to catch up upon. My social anxiety issues & shyness since my injuries -coupled with physical pain and isolation- make it hard for me (and thousands of my Brothers- and Sisters-In-Arms...my Camo-Family) to readjust to this chaotic world that you Civvies can so seemingly navigate with ease... So I am relearning as efficiently as I can.
I'll end by relaying an absolute truth: at the worst of times, I behaved, commanded, grieved & composed (while injured & recovering) myself by just a simple mantra during the entirety of the half-decade that I served in the Army: WWJLPD?
"What would Jean Luc Picard do"
And my Captain never failed me.
Cheers, Greetings, Anyong Hasheo, Konichiwa, and both "Qapla'!" and "LLAP"

Many thanks! As a fellow Neophyte, I trust that you find both awe-inspiring, and terrifying complex, this UFP we joined up to... and like many things in life, just hang in, nod, and ask questions on coffee breaks...we should be *fiiiiiine!* /s
Thanks, sincerely, for taking the time to help a newb out. Even a nice getting like this is immeasurably bolstering to my confidence.
Welcome to the community! Totally, enjoyed your answers, they are quite awesome.
Besides STO, what other MMOs are you playing at the moment?
P.S. Thank you for your service.
STO is the sole steed I’m riding, at the moment. I have no plans to play any others currently, nor do I see any MMOs on the horizon that would compete with my STO time. Thanks for asking!
