Klingon BoP is by far the easiest on the eyes.... (hundreds of Orion Slave girls running around to generate battery power).

I agree with Tallaris and Lynx, I think that the Intrepid engineering looks best, and it just seems like it's better designed as well.

Although i do love the look of the NX engineering room, the Intrepid has the most ergonomic and well thought out design of the lot.

I always felt that Engineering on the Galaxy was just plain stupid. The Galaxy class is huge, yet they only had that tiny little Engineering, usually staffed by like 1 person. Always found it rather perplexing. I found the Intrepid Engineering to not only look better because it was bigger, but it was almost always bustling with activity with many engineering officers on duty.

You do realise there is a difference between Engineering and Main Engineering?
With TOS and the movies for that era these rooms were referred to as the Engine Room, because that is what it was. In TNG they expanded it to also include the primary workspaces so it is both the Engine Room and a Main Engineering room but is referred to as Main Engineering. So Engineering on a Galaxy class is infact huge, Main Engineering is relatively small because that is the work space of the Chief Engineer and contains the Warp Core.
Take the Sovereign class for example, that diagram isn't Engineering it is Main Engineering, in First Contact when they try to take back Main Engineering, all those corridoors and rooms they go past or through are all part of Engineering. It is simply the main room that is shown in the illustration.
As for the design of the Intrepid class it is all lovely until you are on the top floor and there is an enviromental hazard and you have to jump down as your only escape route.

There is at least one door on the upper level as well as likely jeffries tube access on the Intrepid version.
I do agree though that even for "main engineering" the Galaxy-Class' is very small... no doubt real life budget constraints dictated that.

The door is right at the back which means if your route was blocked it would be inaccessible still.
As for the size the only one larger than the Galaxy class is the Sovereign class.
