Since I’m in the US right now, it seems my Netflix decided to remove Star Trek Discovery from my list.
Freakin weird, but I guess I’ll catch up on it once I’m back.

Correct. Since you are connecting via an IP address in the US you will be getting the US Netflix lineup which does not include DSC.
You could try a VPN however I have heard they do not work for Netflix. I've never tried.

No, but he probably has DSC in his watch list which it will disappear from while he's in the US.

OK, so a couple things in this episode. Burnham gets called out for her martyr syndrome which is about damn time. The interior of the enterprise looks amazing. Tilly and Po = awesome. Tig Notaro is still my favourite, closely followed by Georgiou. Some interesting S31 ship designs emerged, including one that looks like a Prometheus. Pike to Spock, "There are no words."
Again, they utterly fail to decisively make Saru the Captain, leaving it hanging once more. So I think it's more and more likely that Burnham will fill the centre chair.

Well I don't share the feeling about Burnham 'in' this case; as she really had very little choice as Pike noted. Still I thought it was a very good episode, but I guess only time will tell...
Yea I was talking to Infinity just a few days ago, imagine if we soon saw Pike walking down the Iconic Halls of the Enterprise, and then step foot on the Enterprise Bridge--updated from 1960's low budget, to how the period should be. I thought it looked stunning!
I loved the earlier 'workbee' pod following shot as well.
Certainly a lot of subtle yet highly complex things going on, yet also showed discovery team trusting & supporting each other.

Don't suppose anyone could post screenies of the Section-31 Fleet for those of us unfortunate enough to not be able to watch the episode, yet. Also, Far future, intriguing

As a Star Trek based soap opera, this episode was fine.
It took the time that a professional starship crew would not have even considered for personal matters, and wasted it to get their feels out, preying on the sentimentality of the audience that this show is aimed at. Time is of no concern. Things just happen when they need to on this show. The crew is a plot device...so is the so-called science in this show, for that matter! The actual operation of the ship somehow takes place, whether the crew is pushing the buttons, or not. I understand that this is a setup episode for next week's finale. I just wish that they had paced things better. When you have so much to do, in so little time, the crew doesn't scatter to their quarters to write home, or makeout....not on a professional military-styled vessel anyway! Instead of an hour, or a few hours until Control's arrival, maybe give the crew a day. That would have given them the time to work through this plot without it seeming ridiculous, happening on a starfleet vessel under imminent threat. I do appreciate some time being given to more characters though! Too much of the feels for my taste, but like I said above, I'm not the target audience, so...whatever.
More Katra magic between Sarek and Burnham, just so they can say goodbye. Uh huh, ok. Bye-bye.
Looks like a wild ride next week, shooting Discovery into the future (where we wanted it to take place to begin with). Spock and (maybe) Georgiou will end up off of Discovery for reasons, setting the timeline as we know it right, and explaining why Spock never spoke of his step-sister, because Top Secret...she time travelled to the future, never to return. I still think that Control will get merged with a female character, become the Borg Queen, and get sent to the Delta Quadrant in the past...hmm, who else is a queen and showed up in this episode? Maybe it's Po. Maybe it's Dr. Gabrielle Burnham. Maybe it's not a Borg origin story at all. Tune in next week!
Wow, are they bending over backwards to fit Discovery into canon! Fingers crossed, they don't royally screw things up! I'm more optimistic at this point, but I really don't trust the writers! We'll see how they do.
Pike's wink and coy response to Georgiou, when she tried to surprise him as he was beaming out, was AWESOME!!!
Number One is what Burnham's character should have been, at least from what's been shown in Discovery! She seems a proper First Officer! Huge difference between Enterprise crew and Discovery crew. IMHO
Since I'm trying to not comment on Burnham too much, that's all I've got! I didn't hate this episode, in the context of what I've decided that Discovery is to me...a soap opera. I don't like soap operas, and I generally don't like Discovery. No hate from me this week though! I'm saving my love, or hate, for next week's finale! Neutral vote on this week's episode.
Cheers!!!

Last week I said several things would be subtle, yet at the same time very complex; this week the subtle wink, or several others going on.
Still it's nice to see, a few warming up, to discovery perhaps? I believe the word was in fact Optimistic.

This was a nice enough episode, which seems like its setting up a nice finale next week. I like how this season has seamlessly integrated three of the four disparate Short Treks, but....guys. Guys.
Are we leaping forward into the future, for good?
It didn't even hit me until I read an article which mentioned it. The whole cast is there, so they very well could.
This would stagger all of the Trek shows, with the Section 31 show in the 2250's, the Picard series post Voy, and the Discovery show in the far future, I think the 30th Century.
That would be awesome, and address some of the gripes people have about Discovery.

Now we have the likelihood of them staying in the 'far' future. With technology that will be 6 or 7 hundred years behind every other space going race.
*Discovery jumps into the 30th Century, immediately gets blown to hell and back by a hundred year old Romulan scout ship with weapons that are 500 years more advanced*
I think they wrote themselves into a corner and didn't really have a way out which means 'emergency time jump, yeah that'll sort all the problems.' But I wonder what else I expected from one of the guys that wrote Lost?

well I have the ep haven't watched it yet I will wait until next week then watch the last two eps of the season in a row but I am pretty sure that it is going to be just as predictable to me as all the other eps have been ( I am hoping to be wrong and very surprised though )

Unless Alpha/ Beta quadrant civilization has imploded. Which seems to be the case with the guy from the 30th century. He's a human soldier but the Discovery seems more advanced than what he's seen.
Seems like Discoverys writers didn't write themselves into a corner, but the powers that be did when they tried to adapt an anthology series into a traditional one. This may fix that, turning it into a new Voyager series, stranded in time.
