Chat is important, especially when you need to coordinate or relay certain information, especially in PUG.
Seldom seen in a PUG's chat something more than "gg" when it finishes....the way it should.

I’ve seen plenty of terrible players in pug runs but I always remember that I started there and even I can have a bad day. Plus, as long as they are trying (following guidance, doing objectives, not afk or doing something to sabotage the run) then I’m happy for them. I’d much rather play with someone who just isn’t very powerful but makes the effort than with an 'id10t' who thinks they are amazing and ruins the run with their arrogance.
I often run with junior players myself, and ones DPS doesn't change how I treat them, as we all like to be treated kindly, but yes as people we all have good days and bad. New people often want to learn a little along the way, but the reality is there's a lot to learn, and some pick it up a little faster than others. We all just have a slightly different focus, interest, and passions, not to mention different obstacles, roadblocks, or challenges as well.

And yes Effort should count for something... ...or at least it make a good read. Don't worry no spoiler's here, as those interested can read the Synopsis.
