We don't have visuals for that yet. I'm particularly not very impressed with the T6 visuals or the visuals in general. Only 2-3 shields in that list.

I couldn't agree more with this statement. I've always thought that the rep shield visuals looked pretty naff. The only one that looks ok I guess would be the Assimilated one, as that actually makes canon sense. All the others though just look really silly in my opinion, and not very Trek at all. Each to their own though, as I know a lot of players actually like them.

I dunno I always liked the terran space set, always gave me a Section-31 vibe.

Is this the rep one? If its the dark metalic one then I admit thats pretty cool with the "yellow" glows etc. I also dont mind the Emperors vanity shield either.

Y'know looking at the new set kinda makes me wonder what Cryptic has planned down the road in regards to ships and combat.

Could be a bit of a catch up for Cruisers? I mean ever since they added experimental weapons Escorts have 8 weapons...while both would get a boost from this set, cruisers would get a bigger bump.

Or it's just more power creep lol

A boost to tanks? Alter TFOs in a way that tanks could have more of a role?

I'm not looking forward to yet another grind, but the space gear in this one at least seems tempting & definitely towards tanking. The grind to T5 isn't so bad but it just sucks-up resources & time then to T6 is a hideous grind & definitely seems just to be that bad for a resource-sink. Then again, most times, I don't think Rep gear is worth the effort & cost compared to fleet gear for comparison. What makes this "Legendary"? What is the tie-in to the definition or did Cryptic just pick a word to make it seem cooler? Or does it have nothing to do with the Rep & more with the couple of missions that will be released? An example of the gear I saw on YouTube offered pretty much the similar type of other Reps, not bad gear but nothing superior besides being newest.

Well when it drops on Console I will have some decisions to make.

My main Discovery Toon has a Crossfield Class Starship and I like the build that is in place. Plus it's nearly completed so I don't want to start over.

However I have recently started leveling up an Engineering Discovery Toon that could be a good candidate for such a build. He's currently in a Shepard Class Starship.

I've also considered rolling another toon to take command of the upcoming Buran Class. They would be a prime candidate for such a build.

Well a lot of the stuff is named after characters in the show and that is what makes it legendary, even though people were ordered to pretend the ship and crew never existed?

With all the time travel stuff in STO, that order could have been rescinded by 2409, and the files declassified.

Isn't grind part of an MMO? Why does everything need to be instant? In a 9+ year old game, 70 days to unlock a rep does not seem that long.

Stuff like that tends to disappear after a while...I mean Enterprise encountered the Borg...rescued people fleeing from the Borg.
