I don't have a whole lot of resources, even though I've played for quite some time. This is a build I've kind'a put together on the fly to see how well it performs. Please note, I *do not* have access to Lobi or Lockbox ships other than the Kelvin Constitution.
It's not that bad of a build. Could use some better console prioritising, but it's a really good start. Drop the rcs engineering console for the trilithium set engineering console first.
I agree that on tactical consoles unless you run tactical locators, you're pretty much doing well. The cat1 phaser doesn't out dps for a 40% base damage phaser vs 2 crth, 2 all stats and hefty bonus to drain x combined with the plasmonic. You're a support/control tank?

But that miracle worker battlecruiser would beat the snot out this ship - and you already have that one too. I'd suggest switching to that one.
Unless the cool factor of the t6 ambassador outweighs the performance difference, ofc

Mostly I tend to use a ship for a while and then move on to another ship. That and I just wanted to go ahead and grind out the trait even though its probably worthless.
I think the one ship I used the longest was my tactical T6 Odyssey. And that had an absolutely horrible 'survivability' build on it. I actually tend to go back to her more often than not.
I think the one, ok the two things I want to replace are the engine and shields, but I haven't ground out the rep for competitive yet, that was released during one of my 'break periods'
I tend to favor cruisers over escorts, I'm not sure why other than the RP reasons of haing a great honking starship to sail around the dark in.

Not dying comes to mind. Escorts and raiders without polarize hull and reverse shield polarity are flying victims in pve.

Also Admittedly I'm also playing around with ships now that, after far too many years, I might actually have an idea of what I'm doing. For example, currently tinkering with my command cruiser....
