New Trailer for Star Trek: Infinite Space

There is a new trailer for the browser based MMO Star Trek: Infinite Space. This game is being published by Gameforge and developed by keen games. The release date is said to be sometime in the summer of 2011. This MMO will be a free2play browsergame. Check out the trailer!

they should have shown gameplay so the viewers can have a look at what it's like, however, the trailer was pretty cool.

Trailer was terrible. When will people learn that Star Trek isn't just about space battles?

They missed off a question mark during the trailer and got more than half of the sound effects wrong, such awesome attention to detail does not thrill me, I would have espected more from the creators of the famous 'Whats Cooking Jamie Oliver?' oh wait... no I wouldn't have.

But don't fear, I have devised a clever marketing scheme that will adequately adjust Star Trek fans' expectations.

Thought maybe I judged it too harshly so I watched it again. Then I realised I hadn't judged it harshly enough.

You notice how the majority of the ships in the epic trailer battle aren't even firing weapons? At several times you can clearly see dozens of ships in picture at once with perhaps only one firing, sometimes less than that.

Who makes a space battle where the ships aren't actually fighting?

I dont mean to be rude Chris, but how many DS9 battle scenes are there where from 200 ships maybe 5 or so actually fire?

I wouldn’t hold your breath with this one, why not look forward to STO further becoming better as time passes it’s similar to warcraft, one day could be like eve. Something to really look forward too STO still nicer quality graphics, this game will probably last a few months then your bored again. Very flashy trailer

Very few in my experience you tend to see quite a bit going on in the background as well as the foreground. In this trailer most of the ships are acting as if nothing is going on just flying in a straight line not reacting to anything. It is just so static.

You have to remember, from what I can tell, its low-budget. Lets treat it like that. Maybe it will be uber-crap to look at, but has fun dynamics. Lets not lable it right away, lol. Sure, the trailer was crap and the concept art is el-cheapo but maybe it'll surprise us... everyone had extreme expectations from STO, and it let a good few people down... lets keep expectations for this game at zero, and see if we're amazed.
