My expectations were at zero, so far they are falling just short of said expectations lol

In my opinion the skill and ability required to create a trailer and concept art like that is pretty good which is what disappoints me, they clearly have the ability to create something good but fell short by getting simple things wrong.

It is that lack of attention to detail that most frustrates me.

Hopefully they are aware that Star Trek fans have had to put up with some really lousy games over the years. Lets face it how many Star Trek titles were above average? Two or three maybe?

This was their chance to show the fans that they understand and care, they failed to do that. The problem with first impressions is you only get to make them once.

I think we're reading far too much into a cinematic trailer which has next to nothing to do with the game. I mean on the flip side we could be raving about how fantastic the trailer is and still get a crappy game. It's also entirely possible that this trailer was outsourced to another company that specialises in this kind of work anyway, and the major slip up is that the sounds were iffy at best and someone fudged cross checking the accuracy... even some of the big, decent Trek titles have been guilty of soundboard fudging.

Anyway I believe a let's wait and see approach is the only one we can really take at this time.
