Fox has a service (now owned by Disney) which is Hulu essentially. The Orville will be exclusive to Hulu when it returns next fall.
Ok, now I'm really depressed.
This all reminds me of the F2P vs monthly subscription models for MMOs. Is it better to pay one large monthly fee to get all content (cable companies) or just pay for individual things when you want them (streaming). In the end I suppose the streaming model is better. If you really want to watch everything and you can afford it, you can pay everybody. If you can't afford that or don't care for some shows you don't have to pay for them, or wait for the season to end and pay for one month to binge watch
It really made me laugh when JBYB04 said "What choice do we have?" That's what we always said about cable companies and after decades of waiting for a better choice we finally had a way to ditch cable for better cheaper options only to see that slowly turn into a world where we have to pay every individual network or streaming service and you're basically right back where we started in terms of monthly costs but.... What choice do we have? LOL

Well, there are options but they're definitely on the sketchy side that may get you in trouble with your ISP. If you always use a VPN, I guess you're good to go? I will admit to knowing next to nothing about VPN's and torrent downloading so this isn't an endorsement of it.
