Okay. Got to agree that the Mandalorian so far is the most awesome thing to hit the world.... this millennium. (HOLD ON! that's not what this post is about. You wanna discuss that little nugget, give it it's own thread.)
But i'm an a$$h0le, not in the least to myself.
To help understand in which way i mean that, i'll tell you what i thought as (as i predicted three episodes back when the troopers took grogu)!
Unlike everyone else who were excited, relieved, happy and full of joy, i became deeply sad, and though the level of sadness is still a little bit of concern to me (that's an ever more different topic), the cause for the sadness is no less a valid one. One that not many people seem to have considered:
The last scene in the episode, when taken through into the sequels, means that not too very long after the end of season two, grogu (along with other students) was slaughtered by Kylo Ren, and one of the greater causes for Luke's abandoning of the New Republic, his family, and the force at large.
I grieve for Grogu and Din DJaren. They should've stuck together.
Now you undertand the way that works for me, now my main issue with The Mandolorian (and a lot of the fans who cannot or will not conceed i am right, even though Boba agrees in two seperate episodes, including the last episode.
FACT:
Most notable about the return of Boba was my remark as he appearen on screen:
"Boba got fat!"
FACT:
Boba Fett is NOT a Mandalorian. The Mando's AND BOBA HIMSELF agree with that fact and say so on screen in the episodes.
and now comes the ignition for significant RAGE and ANGER at the producers and everyone creating the Mandalorian:
HOW did you come up with the idea of making the third season of a series called the MANDALORIAN have the theme called:
"the book of BOBA FETT"
SO THE THIRDS SEASON OF THE MANDALORIAN IS ALL ABOUT SOMEONE WHO IS NOT (i repeat is NOT!!!) a Mandalorian?
That really p1$$e$ me off, mostly because of the continued denial by a lot of Mando fans.

apologies for shouting. I obviously feel more strongly about these discussions than i thought.

It happens to a lot of people as they get older; and it is one thing to say that in the privacy of your own home/head but it is hardly appropriate to make your derogatory comments about someone's appearance public! I love Temeura Morrison and thought he looked amazing!

"The Book of Boba Fett" is the first season of a separate new series; it is not "The Mandalorian" Season 3. The latter I suspect will be [in part] about what happens now because, as the holder of the Darksaber, Din Djarin is technically the rightful ruler of the Mandalorian people.
Edit: I also suspect we'll be seeing Grogu in "The Mandalorian" Season 3; "Baby Yoda" has been a massive commercial success and Disney aren't going to lose that money maker!

Where do you get the notion that my comment was derogatory?
I stated a fact, which also happened to be very similar to the last name of the individual in question, hence rendering the comment to be funny.
I am a >170Kg. man myself. I never considered being fat something to be ashamed for, and i never felt offended when i was called fat.
I am fat, so if you call me fat, we can draw the conclusion you have functioning eyes.
So I love Temeura Morrison and thought he looked amazing!
I thought they had his looks spot on! The damage to his face, and the rest of his body probably, looked like it was caused by something other than blunt force or sharp cuts or whatever. I immediately thought about how awful that must've been in that pit of scarlac!!
"The Book of Boba Fett" is the first season of a separate new series; it is not "The Mandalorian" Season 3. The latter I suspect will be [in part] about what happens now because, as the holder of the Darksaber, Din Djarin is technically the rightful ruler of the Mandalorian people.

I think that people like Favraux and Feloni are experienced and intelligent enough to know that when you put a trailer after a season finale of the Mandalorian in which Boba Fett plays a significant role people are gonna think about seasone 3 first before anything else. I doubt more than 50% of the people still watching after end credits of an episode know that there are rumors about a spinn off show about Boba.
So i think it implies this trailer is for season 3.
Besides that i have read and heard things that hint of pablo having issues with Feloni and/or Kennidy that could motivate them to find a way for "The Mandalorian" without him. And lastly, the third season is being filmed at this moment. On set they've only seen Boba, not Din. There has also been no mention of production for any series about Bobs while there were announcements about 6 other series.
All that combined leads me to think that although i hope with all my heart and soul that you are right, i am afraid that it is more likely that you are not. Any information you may have that could change my mind i would love to hear/read!!

Favreau has done this with the trailer at the end as he has come from a long line of Marvel movies doing After credit scenes like this in Marvel and the success and 'Hype' it brought to the fans, to announce a new movie or Tv show like this is one of the best ways IMO, makes viewers want to watch till the end of the last episodes for any special content for people to 'Feed' off and get ready to start trying to find Easter eggs within the scenes and shows linking to new shows or next seasons, The Book of Boba will be its own series which might have cross over eps to the Mando or Ahsoka like the DC universe does.
I was expecting a red thing. Where's my damn red thing?

They confirmed that Mandalorian and Book of Boba Fett are two separate entities.
Here.
So there will be two series running together, possible crossovers I guess seeing as they both move in the same circles.
Add to that the Obi-Wan series, the Ashoka series, and the Casian Andor series; you're looking at a good wealth of live action shows over the next few years.

Well darnit.... If i had done my usual stroll around the interwebs to pick up the headlines and other things of interest, i would have been informed of Favreau's clarification. You are right, thank science, and i was wrong.
I stand corrected.
