There's some wiggle room in there already to explain this away. I dislike the ship personally and I'm not defending or condemning it from a canon viewpoint, just there is sense to be made in context.

The Dauntless was never a real vessel either but appeared in Delta Rising as the specifications for it were found and the class was built by Starfleet accordingly to their own standards. The same thing could have happened here. Starfleet learned about the historical record and the engineers could have tried it out purely as a "what would we get if we actually did that" project.

I say both lol but clearly the Mirror Discovery Era Constitution can load cannons, which I would like. Attachment 12158
but I do think we will see a 25th Century version: not the Exeter class already in game.

Yes, the Crossfield losing that aft weapon slot raised my eyebrow too. Quite a downgrade if it can't use cannons either.

The Aft Weapon Slot went away awhile ago.

I wasn't happy about it either. But I'm still able to equip the Heavy Cannon from the Disco Rep Space Set. So I'm guessing that the anniversary ship would be able to equip other cannons as well. I'm on console so I don't have concrete data numbers but I can tell you is that I noticed a drop in DPS. But I also don't build Beam Boats. I try to stick to mostly Canon Builds. The Disco Rep Space Set and Weapons being the first build I've ever done outside of those limitations.

The Glenn Class though. That's a big swing and a miss for me. Some designs don't need to be upgraded and the Crossfield was one of them.

That update is the only reason why I would fly that thing, it finaly looks like something Starfleet would have build.

I'm liking the Glenn for the obvious Gagarin influence. The secondary hull and nacelles are running along very similar lines.

Dug the Sovereign out of mothballs today for a run as well. The layout isn't quite right for me but it brings back memories.

I've never been a fan of the Constitution class from a design perspective, so I won't fly them anyway, no matter how overpowered they might be.

I wonder though if the trait unlock of the MW Light Cruiser (The Best Diplomat) might be worth using on my beam builds.

I know you are getting the pack, so there might be a place for it but the Defiant Trait is probably going to be the better choice.

I hate to say this but I'm more tempted than ever to actually buy this -_- quite a few ships I'd love to flip between when playing the game and ships that I'd rathernot have to buy for each character.

Aren't those the two most insanely overpowered ships ever.

Is that Donnie skin actually any different? Looks identical to me. I'd have thought a better option would be to be able to mix parts from all the various Constitution types but i guess that's too much work.

Honestly, I would use the Defiant trait for the name alone on all my builds, regardless of cannons or beams
