It does I checked it out yesterday day I think the weapons I have will work for the BB one too as there similar to the Kelvin timeline weapons my biggest issue now is I'm running out of credits and dilithium. And also I'm missing some of the traits and reputation abilities I believe.

Also oddly I feel the Kelvin Timeline Intel Dreadnought build from the bridge builder could work well for the Jupiter Carrier lol

Off the top, I might recommend ditching some of the torps and mine for more beams. If you're using your tac consoles on beam buffs, you're likely losing some effectiveness with non-beam items. Torpedoes don't always deliver the best DPS. The MACO set is a good start and certainly a cheap alternative to some other options. You might get the most mileage on your upgrades getting things up to XV. There you can squeeze out some extra DPS without having to get a bunch of new gear and you may even get a few that jump up to Ultra Rare if you're lucky. You can get those upgrades pretty cheap with EC. Combine with tech boosts to save on dil. You can also craft those.
Bridger's build is wonderful but will take time and grinding to work up to. I've been working a few years on getting the best gear and I'm still not there. My first step was feeling comfortable in TFOs. I wanted all my ships to survive on advanced so I never felt out of my comfort zone. Only recently did I find a ship I felt I could get good DPS with my piloting style (which for me is lazy and park and shoot).
I think you've got a solid foundation for a fun ship that you'll feel safe in most situations. You shouldn't have to spend much to be happy with it.
Also, I love the Jupiter. Absolutely love it. There's something gratifying about that huge, flying egg. I focus that ship more on science, though. I've built it with gravity wells and science capabilities based on its console layout. Drop a grav well, torp spread, and let the pets chew things up.
