That is very likely the question is if they remove the pack after a certain time.

I’m getting seriously sick of the way nearly every new item, Ship, species unlock, bundle, or whatever else is locked behind extortionate paywalls.

I simply cannot afford to play this “free to play” game anymore in the sense that I simply can’t afford the items all my game friends are buying. As a casual gamer with a great many other vital expenses and money concerns for the future and my family I just cannot part the prices they are asking anymore.
I used to be able to get a ship here or there maybe a couple of times a year, or save up some cash to get something nice selling keys etc. But note I cannot do that because everything is in extortionate bundles assumed at people with freely disposable income and no financial worries.

These days I can pay a couple of pounds a month for something like xbox pass and get hundreds of games for the price of a few keys.
STO is just not sending out encouraging signals anymore.
Gamers like me are clearly not who this game is for anymore.

I already have a level 65 rom toon with good ships and some gear... I am very unimpressed... how about they fix the rubber banding from all this loot they be leeching off of us?

Well, luckily I snagged the fed legendary pack and don't regret it as all my fed aligned toons have access to them right off the bat... plus I like kit-bashing which you can do with them having access to all models and all the consoles...

Leveling to 65 doesn't take very long, so buying it outright seems like a waste of money and a bad idea for someone new to STO. Item packs can be hit or miss, so unless the pack is all super-elite gear (some might be decent, but most will likely be a starting point only), it is hard to say how much it would be worth (if anything). That leaves the ship to cover the largest chunk of the price tag's value. I love Romulan ship designs, but I have a strong feeling I'll be passing on this bundle too.

I'm also starting to think I'm going to have to start doing the dil to zen grind if I'm ever going to buy anything brand new in 2020. The LTS stipend just isn't cutting it with these pricey, er I mean "legendary" bundles.

How much you willing to bet the "gear" is tier 6 rep stuff that you don't have to grind, so along with your instant level 65 rom toon you have instant rep gear too... afterall they did say "jump right into the endgame", tier 6 rep gear is right along those lines...

Seeing as we Romulans lost our homeworld and the workers on New Romulus are on strike for years now everyone, who's a Romulan as main, should get that pack for free... I mean, we're poor refugees! Give us free stuff!

"Endgame" can mean a lot of things, including just being geared passably for a normal TFO run, or just hooked up with some tailor unlocks since space barbie is the true endgame. I could maybe see a headstart on the rep grind coming with the bundle, but I would be surprised if they hand over rep gear or other "meta" gear right out of the gate with this.

I wonder how much of these high price items they are coming out with, has to do with the fact that for most hardcore players, there is 6000 zen appearing out of thin air, each year (not counting dil for zen grinding which technically doesn't appear out of thin air because someone else has to have the zen first).
So anything cool and new and must have, almost has to be pricy or it would for the most part get bought with free lifetime zen and not result in any revenue.

It's like inflation caused by a ton of zen being printed without 'backing' every month.
