New Division Supervisor

It is with great pleasure that Starfleet Command can announce that Bondgadget76 is the new Division Supervisor.
Bondgadget brings a great deal of knowledge and experience having garnered much from his time in the Academy, and hands on experience from all the games the {UFP} officially supports. He will be using this experience and skill to assist in keeping our gaming divisions in top form.

SFC have full confidence in his abilities and we congratulate him on his new and important role in the fleet.

Congratulations Bondgadget.

Hathaway is quite correct this is a very important position but not just for the person in it for the Division COs and XOs.

We are all members of {UFP} because we want to have fun gaming and socialising together. Some members also want to help out with the administration to help enable members to have fun gaming and socialising.

The Division Supervisor is there to assist the COs and XOs in making sure they can do what they want to do with the Divisions they are entrusted with running. The Supervisor is there to help work on ideas and to help fight issues, to support the CO and XO in making their piece of the community better for our members so it is of vital importance that Bondgadget as our new Division Supervisor gets used as the resource that he is.

We will never be perfect but so long as we have dedicated members with the creativity and the passion, putting in the effort to make things better then we will be moving in the right direction.

Don't forget though, if you do just want to be here to game and to socialise then that is great and we will never try and make you do anything else, just by being here every member is contributing to the community experience, everyone gives something and we don't expect members to give up their free time to help with the day to day running of things but we are of course thankful to those that do.

There are however ways that everyone can help shape the community, the feedback form is there so every member has the ability to get their voice heard, tell us what you like and what you don't like so we can keep doing the things you want and work on the things you aren't happy with and don't forget about the fleet proposals section in Internal Affairs, if you have an idea share it with the rest of us!

I must appologise. I am truely very sorry that I didn't mention the other applicants for the position.

I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone that applied. It is truely great to see so many people that want to take on such an important responsibility and the work that comes with it in order to make the fleet better and I really hate having to say "sorry you didn't get it".

The fact that some of the applications were really some great and from some really special people within the community only makes matters worse as you do have to ask yourself "ok how the hell can we be in a position to have to say no to this person?"

Sadly when there is one position and a number of people applying then it is unavoidable that more people will get bad news than good and telling people that they didn't get a position is definately the worst part of my own role in the fleet.

But I really do genuinely mean it when I say THANK YOU to everyone that applied.
