All positions are filled on a volunteer basis, you don't need to hold one to retain your membership. The only requirements asked of everyone are to follow the code of conduct and to sign the roll call every 3 months (though there are certain exemptions to this part) as someone's membership status will be adjusted if they miss 2 consecutive calls. The next RC will be due in September.
You're a CL3 which means you're a full member, CL4 and above denote the volunteer staff. At the current time, including ourselves in the CL6 bracket, there are 45 staff members in the UFP (some of whom double or even triple up) which may sound a lot, but it's a fairly tiny slice of the overall picture - the CL3s are the largest group and backbone of the community.
