This release is a total disaster right now.

1) They buggered up the blog AGAIN by saying initially the bundle contained master keys, then decided after the fact they wouldn't be included. The blog was left up for 3 days, incorrect and only edited AFTER people started to kick up a stink. Reddit is on fire with this currently.

2) The pets for the carriers and many older pets too are all over the dammed place. The new KDF ship cannot use the older BoP's from the T5 Vo'quv and the other Support carrier frigates cannot be used on any other carriers, BUT, they do work on the 26C Romulan Dreadnought Carrier for some reason.

3) The KDF version has bugs with certain hull materials.

It really isn't good enough anymore. If you're advertising items and services for sale then you damn well make sure the customer is getting what they believe they're paying for. Just saying "nope" doesn't cut it.

Things just keep getting botched and badly handled. The whole bait and switch thing they did with the elite services starter pack hasn't been forgotten and the debacle with Mudd's Market "sales" was another disaster to add to the list.

Wow. That's terrible. How hard is it to get a blog to be present and correct? It's not like there was a sizable gap between the blog dropping and release. Smacks of incompetence or perhaps worse deliberately negligence.

Noticing people are saying it's bait and switch. It may seem like that, however you probably can't get them for it legally because master keys aren't stated to be in the pack at the point of sale in the C-Store. It's ♥♥♥♥♥♥ marketing and misleading as hell, but not bait and switch in the true legal sense of the word.

It is very sad however, that you need to double check everything you're looking to buy incase Kael/Cryptic screwed up again.

I only caught part of the stream, but the way they talked it sounded like they were surprised how many ships could actually slot the new hangar pets. Awesome to know the backend design is that murky even for the devs....

There is a lot of copy/paste laziness in their posting. That is something that is not unique to Cryptic or Kael, but they do seem to be unusually prone to making errors or at least getting called out when they happen.

I don't understand how they can get it so wrong. I mean I proof read basic forum posts, never mind blogs for a major MMO played by tens of thousands of people. Even more so those which will likely influence purchasing choices.

They said in the ten forward twitch stream last night that a "full carrier" is any ship with 2 hangar bay slots.

The Universe Temporal Heavy Dreadnought Cruiser DOES have 2 hangar bay slots but cannot use the support pets? Either they forgot this ship has 2 hangar bays or they meant when a ship to be a "full carrier" to have "carrier" in its name as well.

The biggest complaint people have, and the reason people are crying Bait & Switch, is that they were advertising the pack to include keys when at the same time keys were not included.
Players saw the promotional material, purchased zen, and then went ingame to buy the bundle only to find that it was not as what was still being advertised. You could alt+tab back to the browser and see the blog still advertised keys, alt+tab back into the game and the Store showed no keys.
Yes in the game you could look at the store and see no keys and decide then if you still want the bundle or not. But thats not the problem people have with this release; its the fact they still advertised it as including keys for a few hours after the servers went live.
That is why they claim its a bait and switch, and that's why some people on Reddit are insisting people file complaints with the FTC.

I downloaded it, but I didn´t buy the pack, although I really like playing carriers.

They did, and its awesome.
Much prefer the elite gunboats my Jem already has over the pets provided with the Support Carrier.
