I have a CD version of Bridge Commander, v. 1.1 with Kobayashi Maru, and it’s awfully slow and unstable. It starts great, with high FPS, but after a short battle or warp, the FPS become extremely low - first only with outside camera, but then inside as well. After a while, it always crashes.
This is an old game an my PC easily exceeds recommended specs. What can I do to fix it? I tried different compatibility modes, resolutions, graphics settings, nothing really works.

I had a quick look around online and it seems others have had this issue too, but I can't seem to find a solution.
It's likely related to how the game engine talks to the graphics driver. Is the game OpenGL/DirectX? I can't remember.
My best guess would be to right click the exe file and use Windows 7 compatibility mode.
Also what Jordan said above should help a lot with any older games.
Happy Bridge Commanding!
