    I'm currently respeccing my main toon. At the moment I'm running a few seperate ships as I'm (slowly) working on getting my legendary ships up to the max mastery level.

    I'm wondering what the best way to respec would be to get the maximum damage from them.

    I usually like using phasers, typically beams as I like my ship to feel authentic. Occasionally have a photon or two on there as well.

    I'd go to YouTube and find Timberwolf's channel. He has a build he uses for all his ship videos and he doesn't seem to do too bad in the deeps. If you want someone from the fleet's advice, I'd ask Bridger or Solace as their DPS results are quite high.

    Skill-wise, you probably want to focus on spending 27 points in the tac tree, the long range penalty reduction from the sci tree, and spending points on eps and offense-buffing from the engineering tree. There are some offense traits that riff off of hull cap too.

    I usually run with the suggestions from DPS League, as they have some generic suggested skills for beam/cannon builds, but there are plenty of other options like Timberwolf as WelshAvenger suggested too. My experience with DPS League's suggestions is that they prefer a glass cannon build, so depending on how hard your ship hits you might find their recommendations make you very squishy.
