My guess (assuming they do mess something up) is that when your on the ground you can activate the space reputation abilities and when your in space you can activate the ground ones and it will cause all sorts of player model screwups so we'll be back to starships on ground and captains in space!

This was a long over-due update. Now only if ground specs can be activated during ground combat - but like many have already stated, that's gonna be another leap of faith.

Not really. I've had those discussions with the Cryptic devs on my stream (they're frequent visitors), and they're aware of the pain points in playing the game. It's been stated openly by the same devs that they're talking about it, and like with the solution reportedly on its way in this post, I'm confident we'll see additional QoL UI improvements as Travis has time to work on them. The real issue is convincing TPTB to allocate time/resources to the improvements. But we're seeing the fruits of those discussions in terms of UI improvements, such as search filtering on inventories (personal and bank), the new Salvage All option, etc.

This year has seen a lot of warmly welcomed changes.

Yeah, having the devs around to answer questions and provide responses to issues we see on stream has been really helpful. Thomas dropped by last week to discuss the Prometheus remaster, and slyly hint at the Winter Event ship.

That's our guess, but Nick and Thomas were playing very coy when asked directly about it. I don't blame them; they're under tight control in releasing information and I wouldn't want to press them for the sake of a "scoop." I value my friendships with them too much to do that to them or to Kael.
