You have to wonder how the hell anything ever gets done in the MU with them all being so busy murdering each other and betraying their friends/colleagues/superiors etc.
It must be utter chaos for much of the time I'd imagine; not even the Klingons have so much backstabbing going on and they are portrayed as the typical "planet of the hats" warrior race.

"Carl" appears to possibly be something similar to the Guardian of Forever; he's reading a newspaper with multiple references to that episode and he does have a door way.
Also the idea of going back to see how things could have played out "elsewhen" is similar to the episode of TNG "Tapestry". Georgiou is not really changing history; she's being given a chance to see how things might have played out so she better understands and comes to terms with her past.
Possibly part of her being sick is that her mind is still linked to her Terran past and she needs to fully accept she is of the Prime Universe to survive there.

Speaking of other universe's...…Kelvin universe is confirmed to still be a thing and exist! We even get acknowledgement of the Narada moving across with Nero!
That K-TNG uniform was cool to see; the alien species portrayed was first seen in TMP too so nice to get another canon link.

Be interesting to see what the deal with the Kelpian ship that's lost is. The original crew will be long dead but maybe they ended up living as a generation ship trapped there?

See I missed the paper thing till Nova pointed it out yesterday to me when I went and looked and rewatched that part I was like omg, this is the thing I am finding I like most about the current season is that we have a lot of references back to old trek be they subtle hints in the episode or even smacked in the face in the title.

Now seeing that you feel that the next episode will probably be something big that will be interesting to see where and how they fit it in with the current story.

I feel the distress signal is a red herring in someway more so now that the message was from a Kelpian that pulled on Saru's heartstrings I am hoping its not a way to bring back the control story and that we are done with that guess we will know soon enough though

This was a great episode to watch. You know its gonna be good especially when Bridger recommends a Discovery episode!

It honestly was good and I do think Discovery writers do make good Terran Universe episodes in general. Looking forward for Part 2.

this thing with Georgiou and when she is back in her place she has changed since she was there so she is now doubting herself which is why she isnt killing people so easily basically Star fleet has made her see things differently, I doubt that anything she does will effect her personally because she will be coming back to the star fleet universe and although I love this story line it comes back to the writers being all over the place they are not going to be able to rap up this season nice its going be be disappointing, some one mentioned the beacon being a red herring either that or they are going to do what they mostly do disappoint by being someone on the ships close friend or family and then that will be the end of season 2 with a cliff hanger . I hope I am wrong . when you get older you start to notice how the same basic story is told over and over again like songs the music style may change but the song is always the same same thing with stories
