    Hi Guys!

    Maybe i'm nuts, maybe i'm playing since 2012, but i want to build a for-fun, non-DPS, PvE-only DoT siege torpedo bomber.
    My aim is to go with gravity well, max ctrlX to get targets into my firing arc, plasma torp (up for discussion) them (Torp spread/high yield) and watch them burn up.
    I do not want to use energy weapons (except for set bonuses) or a sci-damage based/dependent build.
    DoTs may come from other sources as well (Neutronic/Gravitic torp, Gok'Tad trait etc) but should be delivered via the torps.

    My thoughts so far:
    For the captain:
    - Tac for his damage
    - Eng for his survivability (preferred)
    No preference on race or faction yet, but preferably matching ship and faction - i personally don't like a fed on a kdf vessel.

    For the ship i'm open to suggestions.
    I was thinking about:
    - one of the andorian T6 for the wing-torp platforms
    - a romulan warbird
    - a ship with one hangar for the Gok'Tad-DoT trait on launching pets

    Doffs:
    - 3x Torp cooldown
    - ?
    - ?

    Main armament:
    - PEP
    - Romrep torp
    - Omegarep torp

    Secondary armament:
    - Set items
    - Plasma mines?

    Consoles:
    - Fek'ihri Torment Engine
    Do PlasTorp-Consoles also buff the DoT?
    What other consoles can i use here?

    Sets:
    - Romulan for the plasma buff

    Specialization:
    - Commando
    - Pilot?

    And this is where i'm stuck.
    What else can i use? Where do i get buffs for the DoTs? What else do i need to consider?
    Wasn't there a breen bonus that also added a cold DoT?

    All of this is off the top of my head, no game near. Please don't burn me alive if i missed something obvious Smile
