Yes, a single cannon build haha. Something I played around with many moons ago with the original T6 Excelsior when she got the major model revamp. It was super fun to fly, and I ended up loving her so much, I got a small 4inch 3D print of her. At the time though, my ship building skills were still pretty sub par and I can honestly say I've learnt a hell of a lot over the years, with help from the fleet and youtube.

So, Im planning on updating my original single cannon build I made back in 2018 (https://ufplanets.com/showthread.php...r-build-advice) and improving on where I went wrong. For starters the warp core is going to change as the Preeminent Warp Core was slotted just because at the time, I had no better warp core.

Im still going to stick with the Pulse phaser cannons, but also considering using the ENT phase cannons as they are affected by "scatter volley". Anyway, I plan on going down this route, so any advice and tips on consoles, set bonuses and traits would be much appreciated. Would be nice to theory craft a unique build for once, rather than sticking to the meta.

After spending some time on my new alt, I'm happy to say it's on the right track so far. Managed an ISA yesterday and hit 79K, which isn't great but its certainly nothing to sneeze at.

Most of my main traits and gear I'm having to acquire again from scratch so no Atlas console or Domino just yet. Trait wise it's not doing so bad and gear grind is going well. So far this cannon/dual beam bank, mixed armaments synergy build is doing quite well in Advanced content and is pretty fun to fly an Excelsior and shoot out multiple TMP pulse cannon bolts.

I'm going to give a further push over the weekend and take her out for a proper test run on Saturday with the Special Forces Satruday. Will post a build once I'm happy with the numbers.
