I'm new here. Currently looking into joining a fleet and one of your fleet admins by the name of "{UFP}John Hathaway" invited me to take a look at you guys.
I'm a long time STO player. Been playing since it was released, but had gotten busy for a couple months, so my account won't show much activity.
I currently have a VA Sci captain, and am working on my Lt Com Eng captain. I havn't done much with my science captain since I got him to VA because given my experience, a Science ship needs and escort/crusier with it to be very effective, but maybe I just suck. lol. Then I started my Eng Captain. I have no Tactical Captain and no klingon characters. I play STO for the sole enjoyment of having fun and I'd much rather play the game with other people so I can have some more fun.
Havn't decided if UFP is right for me, but everything I've heard about you guys, it sounds like it will be. I'm hanging out on your Teamspeak server in Ren's Bar. To my understanding, CL is clearance Level, but I'm not sure what that means in terms of what rooms I can join on teamspeak, so if you see me online, I'm probably playing STO alone in Ren's Bar. Yes I know I could send an admin a message, but since I'm not in the channel's, I don't know if your busy or anything. I just don't like bothering people if they are possibly talking.
I hope to get to know some of you, make some good friends, and perhaps join this community here,

Welcome to the forums!
You are correct in assuming "CL" stands for Clearance Level. As a guest, you automatically receive [CL1] access on both the forums and TeamSpeak. On the forums, you'll only be able to view and post in forums that are [CL1]. On TeamSpeak, the server will only let you enter rooms which carry the [CL1] tag, unless you are moved into a room by another member. Don't hesitate to poke someone with CL5 or CL6 access as they have the power to move you into channels higher than CL1.
We highly encourage a friendly and supportive atmosphere within our fleet. Other than the monthly roll call, there are no other activity requirements to remain a member. You are free to participate as little and as much as you want in our regular fleet events.
