    The unusual thing about STO is that outside of the universal endeavor, there is absolutely no in-game rewards for PVP. Even the universal doesn't require you to win, just stay online through the end of the match.

    If you have the time and energy to grind out a niche build for a largely reviled part of the game, more power to ya. If you choose not to participate, that's perfectly understandable too. I personally queue up during the universal, give it a try, then after my elite-capable ship gets trashed half a dozen times in the 3 minutes or so the match lasts, I take my endeavor points and box and go on with my day and forget about it until the next time that endeavor rolls around.

    Well... there are sort of in-game achievement badges or accolades you can get from PvP... but I don't think anyone really pays attention to that unless you are "accolade" hunting to be that 100% completionist kinda peep.
