As part of our upcoming content release, from May 25th to June 24th (for PC Captains) and later this year for Console Captains, a special event calls to glory: Only Qo’noS Endures. This new event will provide brave Captains with honor and epic rewards – the Imperial Assault Ground Set. Read on to find out more about the event and its rewards.

Event Progress
Participating in this event grants daily progress towards the Grand Prize: The four-piece Imperial Assault Ground Set. Obtaining the Imperial Assault Ground Set requires 40 daily progress, and Captains can earn two daily progress per account per day by playing either of the brand new episodes or the brand new Task Force Operation in our upcoming content release (more details on that, soon!). Daily progress can also be earned by several other thematically appropriate challenges; in total, three available missions and three available TFOs reward 2 daily progress each, and six available Patrols provide 1 daily progress each.

Once Captains have obtained 40 daily progress on their account, they can claim the Imperial Assault Ground Set. After that, the event will still be playable, granting a scaling Dilithium reward that begins at 8,000 Dilithium Ore and scales by 1,000 Dilithium Ore for every day you participate in the event, up to a cap of 50,000 Dilithium Ore per day.

Captains will also have the option to purchase their remaining progress in the event with Zen. The price for this buyout will be pro-rated, based on the amount of progress a Captain has completed.



The Imperial Assault Ground Set
Aakar’s web of deception tangles around him as he approaches the decisive hour. His signature blend of brutal force and cunning electronic subterfuge are on full display in his personal regalia, including the devastating Mycelial Rift—his armor contains a fabricator capable of deploying drones, which in turn open personal Rifts on his enemies. The set’s weaponry combines nanopulse plasma and traditional disruptor technology, allowing either the pistols or the bat’leth to inflict foes with both a plasma burn and disruptor damage resist penalty simultaneously. The shield contains the always important backup plan, should things become… untenable. It refills itself and provides several seconds of enormously improved Critical Strike Chance. However, it is in combination with each other that these devices truly shine.

As these elements gather, they rapidly become more than the sum of their parts. Engaging foes with weaponry taxes the processing power of the technology protecting their fragile bodies, making it ripe for a Cunningly Timed Hack (2 pc) to slow their escape. With a third system in place, the personal decimation of a disloyal squad becomes almost elegant. When many Foes Experience Bij! (3 pc) at the same time, Kit Module and the armor’s Mycelial Rift Drone Fabricator recharge times are dramatically reduced. With all four items in place, Imperial Destiny (4 pc) is assured: the armor’s Mycelial Rift Drone Fabricator deploys two drones at once, Cunningly Timed Hack roots foes, and Experience Bij! applies a colossal bonus to Kit Performance for a moderate duration.

2 pieces: Cunningly Timed Hack
Improves Kit Performance. After using a Kit Module, your next weapon attack applies Cunningly Timed Hack, slowing foes in a radius around the target. Mycelial Rift Drone Fabricator applies Cunningly Timed Hack as the Rift begins to open.
3 pieces: Experience Bij!
Improves Critical Chance. Killing 5 Foes within a brief window recovers half the recharge time of Kit Modules and Mycelial Rift Drone Fabricator.
4 pieces: Imperial Destiny
Improves Critical Severity. Improves the rest of the set: Cunningly Timed Hack roots foes. Mycelial Rift Drone Fabricator deploys two drones at once. Experience Bij! applies a colossal bonus to Kit Performance for a moderate duration.

Once you know what you need to do it's not too bad; it's just it's very poorly explained what the hell is going on. I don't think many pug runs will enjoy it until people have been doing it a few times.
There's so many voiceovers and prompts flying on the screen it's a bit overwhelming and unclear what is meant to be going on.

Also, I feel it suffers badly from the current Cryptic trend of just "filling the map with enemies" to make the mission exciting/challenging. It's not difficult combat as such; it's just a feeling that it's essentially fluff filling the map for the sake of it. Endless waves of ship warping in constantly just sort of feels a bit tacky I think. Who the hell is making all these hundreds of ships we keep vaporising?!?

The first episode mission felt like that to me... My DPS is not even at 100k and I was blowing up everything in sight within seconds. Really detracted from any kind of 'epic' feel ... Also the part where you are waiting for reinforcements to show up, it was more like: meh, don't bother...

I dunno, I'd rather they just had us sit there for 5 minutes while we insta-kill endless waves than the gimmick of the queue.

Right now it's still basically insta-killing endless waves, but we have to run back and forth between two points and the duration depends on how much the team is paying attention.
