Prepare your swimwear and leisurely attitude for Star Trek Online’s 2021 Lohlunat Festival, starting soon on a Risa beach near you! This year’s Grand Prize for participating in the Event will be an upgraded and modernized Tier-6 version of the Risian Luxury Cruiser!

Although the existing Tier 5 version of this grand starship was first adapted by the Lobi Crystal Consortium for duty in modern starship fleets, this brand new redesign has been developed from the struts up to support such versatile encounters as any modern starship captain may encounter during their travels. Whether it is phaser-bank-diplomacy, or leisurely endeavors a bit more suited to the Risian lifestyle, the Risian Luxury Cruiser (T6) is fully capable of fulfilling your needs.

Earning the ship will require completing various activities available on the Risa Summer Festival map each day, and gathering enough Daily Progress to fulfill the Summer Event’s overall quota. Players may participate in any of the available Summer activities to earn their Daily Progress once per day, per account.

Once you have earned sufficient Daily Progress, you may claim this Starship for your entire account. Just open the Event Reclaim Store to claim a Risian Luxury Cruiser (T6) for each captain on your account.



Risian Luxury Cruiser (T6)

This updated model of the classic Risian Luxury Cruiser takes everything that made the ship a standout offering of recent years, and updates it to Tier 6 standards.

The Risian Luxury Cruiser was originally designed as a luxury cruise liner. The ship's incredible agility for a ship of its size and class drew the attention of the Lobi Crystal Consortium, who purchased the rights to manufacture armed versions of the vessel. This truly extravagant starship has caused ludicrously wealthy buyers to line up at the chance to acquire one.

This ship features a Lieutenant Commander Universal / Temporal Operative Bridge Officer Seat.

This Luxury Cruiser is also equipped with Solar Sails, which allow its Quantum Slipstream Drive to travel at increased speeds for twice as long as normal.

Console – Universal – Enhanced Soliton Wave Generator

Risian Luxury Cruisers can be equipped with a Soliton Wave Generator. This allows the ship to generate a powerful, but stable, Soliton wave that will draw nearby enemy ships toward the Cruiser and deal minor radiation damage. During this time, the Soliton Wave Generator is building up a powerful charge that is released after a short time. This released Soliton Wave will damage nearby foes and will briefly knock their engines offline.

This console also provides a passive increase to Current and Max Shield Subsystem Power, and Reduced Recharge Times for Temporal Operative Bridge Officer Abilities.

This Console Mod can be equipped on any starship, and can be fit in any console slot. You may only equip one of these mods on any single ship.
Starship Trait – Leisurely Pace

While at or below 25% Throttle, gain a stacking bonus to Exotic Particle Generators and Control Expertise once every 5 seconds (4 stacks max).

Once you have at least one stack, activating any Control Bridge Officer Ability will cause up to 5 foes within 5km to suffer a Debuff to their Flight Speed and All Outgoing Damage for 5 seconds. The severity of this debuff is increased by additional stacks of this trait's buff, gained by remaining at Low Throttle. This effect may only be triggered once per 5 seconds.

All stacks are lost shortly after being above 25% Throttle, and must be regained over time.

Ship looks nice from a space barbie perspective. Looks like the console and trait are both aimed at space wizards again though this year, which seems odd since we are getting a cruiser and not another sci vessel. Maybe they're thinking sci tank builds for this? At any rate, I'll still eagerly await my chance to annihilate borg cubes while pimping on my yacht after this event though.

I might actually get some use out of that console on my piddly little Pilot Warbird. Team it with the completely unexpected Broadside Emitters and the Microprojectile Barrage and watch the hordes DIE.
