My take on this one

Like most Science Destroyers, they are usually nice from a Space Barbie perspective. They look pretty good and have cool custom animations.

Going beyond Space Barbie, a "science destroyer" is just a bad concept. While it sounds cool to flip from a DEW build to an EPG build and back again, the gear you'd want on an EPG build is completely different from a DEW build, so you are either going to be geared heavy for one or the other and do ok (but not spectacular), or try to do a DEWSCI loadout and be "meh" in both modes.

Finally, it can't be understated that Jeremy Randall was at some level involved in the process, and I seriously doubt it was limited to just slapping names on these classes of ships. For the newer STO players among us, "Borticus" as he is often better know as by the community is well known for his lack of understanding (or maybe just apathy towards) what players want in ship and gear design. In the cases where he's accidentally stumbled on something that proves really powerful, he's legendary for coming back around once people have accepted that good thing as the new meta and nerfing it into uselessness and moving on. Nothing here looks like it will be particularly amazing, but even if something is a sleeper hit here, everyone will be expecting that it won't last.

I'd say given all this, you are better off saving your money unless you really have to scratch that space barbie itch. Otherwise, there are far better options already out there, and another Mudd's bundle drop is looming soon.

I'd like to see more terran ships including the terran nova/equinox...they still have a share of ships made for terrans that weren't released, if they don't want to make new ships would be nice if they at least made like a skin pack
