[Discussion] - Star Trek Discovery: Season 4 Pre-Discussion

Discovery Season 4 will be appearing over the horizon soon, presumably in October/November but there's no official date as yet. Ahead of time as bits and pieces start to appear, this thread will be for discussion of what shape Season 4 will take and the direction that Trek is going in the 32nd century.

Some things that we do know, paraphrased a bit from here;

- Discovery will definitely not be returning to the 23rd Century, they're there to stay. Burnham remains the Captain as seen from the end of S3.

- Doug Jones is still a series regular and will see more of Saru's character explored back on his homeworld. The rest of the cast will also be returning.

- The grey uniforms have been re-coloured to TNG standards to make them stand out as their designer felt they blended in too much with the aesthetic used for the 32nd Century Federation

- The supposed adversary this season will not be a big bad as such, but instead will see Discovery having to deal with a 5 light year wide gravity anomaly, presumably working to solve a galaxy disaster type problem similar to the burn.

The New TNG Uniforms are okay but I like how it was all grey except for the stripe of rank

Now confirmed that Discovery Season 4 will premiere on Thursday November 18th.

The trailer was good the new antagonist has a Vger/Wale Probe type vibe to it

The new uniforms definitely stand out a lot better compared to the original take. Interesting how a colour swap can lift something so much.

I think they look amazing. A million times better than the campy jumpsuits we had in TNG or things like those hideous TMP pyjamas!

The look smart, with some nice little touches and the quality of the costumes look to be pretty outstanding.

Can't wait to pay a bajillion lobi crystals to wear them in STO.....

They're already available, though they default to the Season 3 colour scheme.
