New Visual Variant: Miranda Class Mk. I

The 2260s were an era of unprecedented growth and exploration for the United Federation of Planets. New colonies were established and new treaties were brokered on a monthly basis, and as the Federation expanded, so did Starfleet. While the pride of the fleet was the Constitution-class U.S.S. Enterprise and her sister ships, there remained a need for smaller vessels that could shoulder the massive logistical burden of the bourgeoning Federation.

The Pioneer-class Utility Cruiser was one answer to this problem. The Pioneers were reliable but underpowered and not very durable. As tensions escalated with the Klingons, Starfleet Command realized the need for a light cruiser design that could be built faster than the mighty Constitution-class Heavy Cruisers, but still had stronger powerplants, weapons systems, and heavier armor in case they should need to engage the Klingons.

From this process came the Miranda-class Light Cruiser Mark 1. This first batch was successful, but entered service on the verge of a generational transition in Starfleet ship design. By the mid 2270s, most ships in the fleet ha been refit with a variety of new propulsion and defensive systems. Only a handful of Mirandas were built in their original configuration before the production line was paused to incorporate these technological advancements into new construction from the keel out.

The Boost

Advance Immediately to Max Level!

Appearing as part of this bundle is a Max Level Boost which you can use to immediately set a character to max level. This powerful Boost is yours to use as you see fit, provided a few restrictions are met:

The character to be boosted must belong to the TOS-Era Federation faction.
The intended character must have completed (or skipped) the Tutorial.
You must have at least one character on your account that has reached Level 65.

Provided these restrictions are met, the process is as simple as claiming the Special Item unlocked by your purchase of the Bundle, and applying it to the character of your choosing. This will immediately elevate that captain to the rank of Fleet Admiral, and place an Equipment Bundle into their inventory.

This level-up process is designed to be usable for characters of any level.

Have an old TOS-Fed alt you rarely play, languishing at Level 30-ish? Give them a new lease on life, with an immediate boost to max level, and all the resources needed to hit the ground running!

Never tried the TOS-Fed experience before? This boost opens the door to playing the entirety of their unique and recently remastered story arc, without the worry of leveling up and re-gearing between episodes.

Unlike the Jem’Hadar experience of starting the game at Level 60, players using this boost will still have the opportunity to assign their character’s skill points, specialization points, and traits, as well as equipping the provided gear, in whatever manner they like. The choices are yours to explore.
Dangers of Time Travel

This boost may be used as soon as your TOS-Era Captain has completed the Tutorial, which is at a point in their career when they are still in the late-23rd century. However, applying this boost will allow the character to immediately be free to access parts of the game that are beyond their timeline.

Do so with care! Though such content is yours to freely explore, doing so may result in leaving the late-23rd century TOS-era behind for good, and there are no options to return to it. This will not prevent you from completing the missions found in your Journal, but it may result in timeline inconsistencies. The Department of Temporal Investigations is standing by to smooth out any rough patches your passing may create in its wake.

I think the T6 Clarke is a far better choice personally.

It has all the skin customisation minus the TOS stuff. It comes with a hanger, has access to command abilities, is fairly nimble, and is a pretty tough ship as well.
Most importantly it won't cost you to sell your soul to those greedy bastards at Cryptic as it's a mere quarter of the price of this bundle price.

Hell even the T6 Reliant class is just as good and offers some pilot options and a slightly more nimble light cruiser.

A trait that knocks down shields? Somehow I suspect there will be a lot of torp boat fanatics itching to shell out cash to make stupid high dps numbers a little bit more stupidly high. Not to mention extra kitbash parts for quite possibly the most bashable ship class in the game for space barbie enthusiasts. At least I'm guessing that is what Cryptic is banking on here. I'm just amazed at how much disposable income some players must have out there, particularly given the massive backlogs in the dilex market making dilithium farmers wait like a week or so to buy zen right now.
