JOB DUTIES

• Assist in running of Ares main Roleplay
• Moderation of story discussion.
• Assist in developing story ideas for main roleplay.
• Help plan special projects within Ares Dept.
• The successful candidate of this role would report to Josh Broughm

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Exams: Orientation Assessment, Officer Qualification Exam & Command Exam
• Creative writing experience
• Is it a CL5 position? Yes
  PLEASE NOTE: If it is a CL5 position, the successful candidate will have to sign the Command Position Agreement before entering the role.

- Bringing any concerns that Rpers have to CO.

I gave it another try but I got the message I've already submitted an application form for that position.
Which is correct, I did submit one a couple of months ago. I myufp I can see it listed too.

Here's the main part of the application form I submitted:

I am ready willing and able to perform the duties attached to the position of XO.

I have been with the UFP's Rpg since I've joined the UFP in order to participate in the short story competition. I started on the USS August and went with the various incarnations like Starbase 801 and the Remnant of Hobus iteration (which was the same concept we're now re-introducing)

Unfortunately, I have had to go AWOL for two years due to being homeless but now I've reached a point in my life in which I can commit myself to long-term commitments reasonably sure that RL is not going to get in the way.

I've always been passionate about the UFP's role-playing dept. and continue to be so. I'd been honored to serve as the Ares project's XO, whatever shape or form it takes, now and in the future.

I have been writing fanfiction ever since I became a trekky but of my early work there little has survived. On fanfiction.net I've got some unfinished stories:

Of my previous PBEM-RPG work I haven't been able to recover anything. I have been playing PBEM-RPGs since the early '90s (since the BBS times). The USS Typhoon was the best-known RPG at the time, though I haven't been able to recover anything from back then.

On the point of why I stick with the UFP:
It's the largest, oldest, and coziest community I know with friendly people, good breadth of topics and activities, good leadership and it feels like home in a way.

On the point of what I think I'll get out of the position (how it will benefit me):
Besides a chance to contribute to the Ares project, and help those who need it to enjoy being a part of Ares, absolutely nothing. I only want to contribute and help the Ares Project become a success and last forever.

I think I'm the best suited for the job because of my experience with RPG's in the UFP as well as outside of it, because of my passion for the Ares Project and because I've always wanted to help people ever since I was a child.

I've made my career out of the wish to help people, having worked in IT-Support for almost 30 years now. I've worked in all levels from 1st line through 3rd line support and I've managed the Service Desk at the Menzia Mendoza School for a year and three months. I have also managed migration projects of DELA NV. and the Municipality Breda.

I hope this information is sufficient to make your decision, but I'm always willing to provide any additional information should it be needed.

Just for the purposes of clarity, this was originally open until December 31st, which is quite a long time for a fixed position like the XO's, the date has been revised to November 1st, so there's still several weeks to go if anyone wishes to apply for the position.
