Hello, fleet! I have a fun opportunity to share which I hope will get a response.

I started developing an animated Trek series about the time STO first launched, based on our in-game characters. I was working with two other people who dropped out of the project, but fortunately not until characters were created, a few episodes were written, and voice actors had been cast. So although I'm now alone a great deal of work has already been done for me. Completing the rest of the animation by myself is taking forever as I have a full time job and family. I figured I would just pace myself to get the first episode finished...however I've hit a road block I cannot pass on my own.

The voice of the ship's captain needs to be recorded in better quality. It sounds terrible when he has a conversation with another character in the same room. I've tried contacting the original voice actor but I haven't been able to get in touch with him.

Would any of you be interested in lending your voice to this project? I would be most grateful, as now I've come to the point where I cannot complete this on my own. This should be a simple one-time commitment from you as I can send the scripts for the 2 episodes which are already half produced. Ideally I would like to produce all the episodes, but unless I find another animator to help me that may not happen for another year or so.

My mic is pretty fail, but I bought a pre-amp for it and now I sound just like the professional voice actors. My mic was like $5 at Walmart, and the pre-amp was $30 on Amazon. That is considerably less expensive than buying a $90 mic which produces the same sound. I'm sure the $90 mic must be better in some way, but I can't tell the difference!

Now I just need someone with a "captainy" sounding voice... I'm sure someone will respond.

I can do that if you want. I have a great 'captainy' voice and I have a fairly decent mic.
