TFP Mission Pack 01

Ok, so here's how it works. You just reply with the mission you're interested in taking and I'll slot people in, first come first serve. With 7-8 ships lining up to play, there should be a slot for everyone to get started.

For this first mission pack, there is not a major theme other than handling some affairs prior to arrival at DS9. So this is a prelude in a sense, which allows us to get used to the MSRP system. Enjoy!

A couple of notes:

One mission per player (those of you with two ships, please wait for everyone to have a chance before adding your second ship)
If you need an NPC bad guy, ask a Sim Officer or another player
Don't forget to use the standard mission template in the Mission Logs forum.
You get to pick your own imagery, so decide as a group (or first come first serve) and have some fun with it!
Feel free to list a backup mission if you're not sure you'll get your first pick.

I will update this thread as folks request missions.

Misson 01A: Deep Space Diplomacy (NEW)

Mission Summary

Enroute to Deep Space 9, two ships are ordered to rendezvous at Outpost 415 a few light years away from their original destination, priority alpha. They must escort two quarrelling ambassadors from the same meeting at the same planet to DS9. Two ships for two argumentative diplomats. Hopefully the ship captains have some patience and resolve.

Mission Summary

A strange signal comes in from the "eastern" front of Federation space and the border patrol beacons have reached out to our nearest Starfleet ship. The signal is Klingon in nature, but apparently too overt to be a normal KDE vessel cloaked along the border.

Mission Summary

Alert! The Farronus System, home to THREE new Federation member planets, is under a severe threat of a black hole that has accelerated its growth in the solar system group. The populations on each planet are not huge, but much too complicated and large for one vessel to handle all of them at once. Starfleet has selected three ships to handle the evacuation post haste.

Note: This could be condensed to TWO ships if only two people sign up. But part of the point of this one is collaborating between the planets/ships.

Mission Summary

Starfleet has several newly-scanned planetary moons throughout the borders of Federation space, each of which have strange relics picked up on their deep scientific scans. More details will be provided upon mission acceptance, but all targets are found to be uninhabited. The nature of further discovery could involve a scientific approach or that of diplomacy if warranted.

Cool ok, I’d say near DS9 somewhere as it wouldn’t make sense otherwise!

Add the Charleston to that one please and I will add an update later!

Awesome. You and Adster are good to go. You guys get to be our test case, although Adster went through this back in the day so he has a tad bit of experience. Let me know if you guys need anything from me!

I'll join 01C if no one else wants in, so we can launch that mission. I was going to do 01D, but I want to get going on one of these. You can even have the August join a couple posts in if you want, given how you framed that thread Adster.

Ok, awesome - got you in there. Since 01D is designed to be a singular ship, you can start whenever you want. If you wanted to pair up with someone, happy to accommodate. Or if you wanted to have another player/sim officer play the role of an alien or some civilians or something. You picked one with the most flexibility.

That last part sounds like a lot of fun. I'd be more than happy to have someone else play the part of some ancient MacGuffin, reawoken after a long slumber when we try to move the relics or a trader arguing they have right of salvage.

I'll leave it up to whoever wants to join to choose

So 01D was initially designed to be a solo mission, but able to be run by different people (just with different planets/findings/etc). So you two can each run an 01D if you want. HOWEVER, you can also team up and tackle this together. No worries either way. I'll still be your "bad guy" (or whatever) either way.

Just figure that out and either add each other to the thread or whatever.
