Too bad he pronounces "Venite Adoramus" wrong. (adorrrrreeeeeemus)

Anyway, opera singers are not geeks... they are trained professionals providing us with quality culture.

    This is a geek.

heis one of our most contributing members, he has been running a Nerf gun club for several years called Zomb, and recently Chris the founder was dragged out to play a few rounds, he really liked it and now the Geek group and Zomb have joined forces.

See the Geek group is a federally Certified 501(c) 3 Non profit organization that aims to provide science education to anyone who has a sincere and passionate desire to learn.

we have literally THOUSANDS of dollars in donations to throw around and we use it to build labs, get equipment. Basically your school/college/university sends us a copy of your text book, and we write a 1 hour demonstration on that topic.

The difference is we have (or will have soon) like 40,000 sq feet of floor space where we can build Tesla coils and shoot lightning across a room, the idea is that we can do so much more than your school can do with regards to science demonstrations.

Ive been a member for like 4 months now, and although i dont have enough money to go to Grand rapids where these guys are primarily based, there are Local chapters opening up in just about every state in America and i am personally working with a bunch of guys to get one set up in Manchester England.

And it doesn't just stop at Science. Anything you can think of, Music, Nerf wars, electronics, graphics, computer programming etc etc.

So what im trying to say in short is that picture is politically incorrect, just because your a Geek, doesn't mean you have to weigh 260 lbs and sit in-front of a computer gloating over star trek or mathematics all your life, alot of geeks choose to be active and get out and do things, we have gone and broken the world record for the worlds largest newton's cradle, we are currently showing our viewers how to build a tesla coil at home from items you could easily find at a hardware store.

and the best part is, its all for free, Membership to the Geek group is, always has been and always will be completely free, all we want is your time to come and help out, donation to the geek group is purely voluntary and thats how it will always be. So in a way we provide to the community an advanced service for nothing but your time. =D

You don't need to be part of an organisation marked Geek to be considered a 'geek' by popular culture, lol. And people who are part of the certified geek organisation are not automatically considered 'geek' by popular culture and youth culture.

And this obese fellow in the picture might not bear any resemblane to anyone in the cerfitied non-profit organisation named geek, but by standards of popular culture and youth culture, he's definately a geek.

Its not politically correct, I know, but I do not mean to be. 'geek' is by definition a stigmatizing label, even if certified non-profit organisations with the same name are trying to spin the term around.

Anyway, your organisation sounds like a real contribution to soceiety so good luck with setting up your local chapter. Sounds like a fun club.
